Stupid Dress company

My stupid dresses for the girls wont be ready till a WEEK BEFORE MY FREAKING WEDDING?! Um I ordered in OCTOBER. What the heck is going on!?

I complained AGAIN to the girl who did the order, and I ended up sending a comment to the company wanting to know what the heck is going on. The girl I ordered through tells me they can try to rush it for me but it will cost me. THE HELL IT WILL. Im not paying more than I already have. You jacked me on shipping at $20 per dress and they all come to ME. How come Im paying 80 bucks for 4 dresses to go to one address?!

Im such a bitchy whiner lately.

Is there any way to refuse to pay the delivery charge since the dresses will be so late?

I don''t blame you, I''d be furious too. I''ve heard of wedding dresses taking 6 months but bridesmaids dresses!! C''mon. I''d demand a "rush" at no extra charge. It''s laughable that they consider getting the dresses in less than 6 months a "rush". I also agree that $80 for shipping to one address is outrageous.

I''ve heard of things like this, where sometimes what happened is the bridal salon doesn''t order the dresses from the company when YOU order them, and then they come in late, not because it was anything to do with you or the dress company, but because the salon was trying to make ends meet in terms of THEIR bills... maybe you can double check w/the salon that they ordered the dresses in a timely fashion......

anyhow, sorry to hear about the situation... if there was any way I could swing it, I''d make them give me the deposti back and take my business elsewhere!!!

Well the dresses had to paid in full up front, pretty much the norm around here. They didn''t hesitate to take our money.

I posted a little rant about it on the local wedding forum and either this vendor read it or someone told her about it because she called to yell at me about it within 1 hour of it''s posting, which probably made it worse for her. She''s going to do her best to get those dresses here by late April. She told me she would like me to retract, which if they come, and are right, I will do, but till then, no way.

A satin sheet with a few saftey pins and well placed hints of flesh would make it better for my half of the population.

Those dresses usually have to be fitted also once they come in... not as detailed work as the bride''s dress, but it still might take a week or two extra for that also. Maybe you can work it in the deal that they do that for free.

OH Ame, you are beginning to scare me!! It seems like you have had so much drama planning this wedding from cakes to parents to venue stipulations to crazy mall ladies smashing your rings, and now this! I''m not even engaged yet, and I''m frightened to start planning once he proposes!!! So sorry you keep having trouble...

To the ladies who have been through this before- Is this typical??? YIKES!!!

I regret not eloping every single day. We could have had family there and a few friends and been done.

I think what made this more irritating, while I really don''t NEED them till May or so, is that after I whined she called to cuss me out about ruining her reputation. Yes, I realize this is not going to help your business but quit lying to me, making excuses, etc and get me the goddamn dresses.

Nothing goes right till the day of and Im sure something will go wrong that day. But Ill hopefully be hot.

If you were just telling the truth, that you ordered them in October, they''re not going to be ready until a week before your wedding, and they''re now trying to milk more money out of you to "rush" them, then the woman had no right to call you up bitching about her reputation! If you were grossly exagerating etc fine, but she should be kissing you ... ring ... hahahaha ... to try and make it better, not screaming! Some people really don''t understand customer service ... if you screw up, you fix it, and you have a hope in hell that the customer might come back and might even recommend others. You start denying its your fault, yelling at them, etc etc etc, you''re just shooting yourself in the foot.

You''re just telling other people who might consider using her what they deserve to know!

You have every right to be SO angry!! I''d certainly be demanding they bent over backwards to fix this!

Yea I need to elope.

I actually got a phone call/post today from the company that has this girl as a dealer hollering about how I am not accurate and it was on my signed contract....and to that I say "WHAT SIGNED CONTRACT?!" I got nothing but a cancelled check and promises. I asked for paperwork, but alas never got any. I was foolish. And I also mentioned her phone call to me on Friday, which when the dealer complained about me to the company was conveniently left out of her story. But I was informed after telling this woman everything that I will have them by the end of the month, they are there now getting inspected to be sure they are correct. They are produced overseas (I wish I had know that little tidbit, Id prefer they told me that upfront) so they take longer, etc.

Long story short, my dresses should be here and I can move on to another irritating and stressful task.
