I am beginning the process of designing my engagement ring. I have a white gold ring from a distant relative with two 1 ct diamonds set side by side and tapered diamond baguettes on either side of the larger stones. I have never seen such a style before and have not been able to find very much information on it. I think engagement rings are gorgeous but I have a very unique sense of style and would like that same individuality to come out in my ring, which is why I am suddenly taken by the concept of a 2-stone ring. I do not want to use the current setting as I want something that is my own and in platinum, but am thinking about using both the 1 ct stones for the design. Any opinions about two-stone settings? Or suggestions about how to work with a jeweler to properly design your own ring? And of course any leads or information about this type of setting would be helpful. Thank you!

The only two stone rings I have seen are something like this:

i think sandra bullock has a 2 stone rind that you may want to check out- and there was one pictured in instyle weddings recently- sorry i couldn''t quickly find a photo ofeither. but it'' sounds GORGEOUS!

''You and me'' rings. How cute!!

here''s another idea, not too dissimilar to what Maisie posted above but inspired by a ripple (it''s a diamond & an aqua but would look good with 2 diamonds)
