Hi ladies! so I have started to think about my wedding band. I know that I want an eternity band but that's about it. Would love to hear your suggestions! Thank you ;)

For reference, here is my e-ring.

Maybe go to your local jeweler or whoever made your ERing and have make a curved band to fit with your ERing?

I agree with PP, Amy. I would see if you can get a custom wedding band made to fit your e-ring. I just got my custom wedding band back from the jeweler on Saturday and LOVE it! It would have been the same amount of money to buy a contoured band to fit my ring and doing a custom ring. I am very particular when it comes to things lining up and this was no exception. It will fit your e-ring like a glove, but it all depends on what you want and your budget. If you can do custom, I'd recommend it and SO glad that my friend receommended me to their jeweler. =)

My ring isn't a split shank, but wanted it to fit like a glove so I went custom. I'll try to find the post of my wedding band so you can see what I had done.

Good luck!

With the curve in your setting, I think custom would be the only way to get a snug, tailored fit for your wedding band. If you went custom, they may also be able to 'build in' a spacer to the side that sits against your e ring. It will protect the stones/setting for both rings and if it is custom, it will be a perfect fit. You may have to send off your ring for a period of time....

Oh - if you get a custom ring with a curve, you may not want to wear that solo, so you'll just NEED to buy a separate eternity ring later on :Up_to_something: (Libby LA thinks I'm an "enabler"... I think I'd rather just be called a 'suggester'!  )

thank you for all the responses! I used to think that I want my wedding band to fit snugly underneath my e-ring, but now I actually want something that stands on its own as I might wear the band on a different hand. I am thinking maybe a shared-setting band? Or maybe something more vintagey?

I would personally get a straight and not contoured band. Your e-ring is really gorgeous! Does it have milgrain edges? If so, then something like mine would work well (Tiffany Legacy band with milgrain).

ohh your legacy band looks amazing! I love the milgrain detailing. That's for sure an option. Thank you for the suggestion!

I agree with DS (as usual!) I would go with a straight band (Im just not a fan of curved). Do you like the milgrain bezel bands? I actually think that style would look very nice with your e-ring. Example here:

ETA: I know its not the same, but here is a link to a split shank ring with a similar-type band to the one I suggested. I love this set!

This was my plan.. until I changed my e-ring setting..

Your ring.. by the way... BEAUTIFUL!!! It looks amazing on your hand!!! :appl: :appl:

i have a split shank halo and wasn't crazy about the way any wedding bands looked with it. so, i opted to get a shared u-prong eternity which i wear on my left, and moved my e-ring to my right hand. it's a nice way to have a little sparkle on both hands!

I am more and more leaning towards wearing the rings on different hands. I do like the shared prong setting. Feel free to show pictures please!

Your ring is beautiful! I agree with Diamondseeker 2006 though-- I'm not a fan of curved bands, not that I am not in favor getting more than one band :Up_to_something: . I really like Mayk's ring combo with TWO eternity bands-- one flanking the top and bottom of the ring!

I vote for this idea, I wear my rings on different hands too. Plus, there will be somedays (like vacations) where you would just want to wear a band.

LAG2010, gorgeous wedding band! love it.

I like split shank rings alone since it already looks like you are wearing two bands, and I think adding a "third" makes it look too busy. I will be resetting my stone into a split shank halo, and I will wear my wedding band on my right hand. My suggestion would be to pick out a gorgeous band that you love and can showcase as its own piece!

LLCALI, agree! I also felt that split shank and the halo setting already stands on their own. I will think of something that will look great on its own for the wedding band. I think I will sometimes wear it with the e-ring and sometimes on separate hands. I am so excited!

Dani, thank you for the links! I like the vintage feeling of milgrain but sometimes I found it looking too dark. Maybe only in pictures.
I was wondering what is a bezel setting? how is it different from shared-prong? Thanks!! :)
