The sides are actually 3 small rounds on each side. I found that it really maximized the flash of the ring while also keeping the price affordable.

The side diamonds are all the same size. They are rounds arranged in a triangle shape. She has been getting so many comments on her ring from everyone! I see why diamonds are a girl's best friend. I think she is hooked on diamonds now...
