Hello,

I am looking for a 1.9-2ct natural round diamond and narrowed down to this one diamond. The GIA looks good but on the comment section it says: "clarity grade is based on internal graining that is not shown. Do you think the internal graining visible in the video would be a concern?

I showed this to my jeweler and he found it with his dealer and is currently on hold for me. I found a video of the diamond online and I do see the graining visible.

Thank you.

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, hypak!
That is one of the grainiest diamond that I've seen in a while...too much risk for my tastes, as I'd fear all that graining would interrupt the proper transmission of light through the diamond material.

Thank you for your response! That is what I thought but wanted another set of eyes. I will definitely pass on this diamond!

Really is a shocker! I can't understand re this part of GIA's mission statement:
"the Institute is dedicated to ensuring the public trust in gems and jewellery"
