My husband and I have been married for 5 years. Five months ago my husband and I considered getting me a new ring since I never had a wedding band. He and I had originally decided to not get me a wedding band since my engagement ring setting cost $4000.00 alone. That along with the ering being so wide on my small finger that the matching WB would have made the two rings go to my knuckle. When we looked at rings 5 months back I just couldn''t bring myself to get rid of the ring that we got married with and instead we decided to use the money that we would have put into a new ring on a nice vacation for our 5 year anniversary. We ended up going to Hawaii for 2 week at the end of October. Four days into our two week vacation I lost my ring in the ocean. This was the start of our insurance nightmare. State Farm messed up our policy and long story short we ended up only getting half of what we should have gotten which was $2000 less than what we paid for the ring.

Of all the settings I looked at I still kept coming back to the Tacori 2620 and 2623. After much research thanks to everyone on PS I felt confident going into MANY different places and looking at diamonds and settings. I could tell that my local jeweler was very surprised at how much I knew and probably felt a little concerned that he wasn''t going to have exactly what I wanted for the price that I wanted it for. I am VERY happy with the setting and diamond and just wanted to share with everyone!

GORGEOUS!!! That stinks that you lost your original ring and that you had to go through so much hassle for insurance, but the final outcome is simply amazing!

wow, very pretty. So sorry you lost your original and had to go through all that hassle. Your ring is lovely, and I hope it brings you joy for a lifetime.

Is the wedding band Tacori also?

Oh no, thats a nightmare..Im sorry u went thru this.. I have to say your new ring is gorgeous!! Wear it well and enjoy it :)

Very pretty setting! I love the delicate halo. So glad there was a happy ending to the loss of your ring.

very pretty!!! I am so sorry that you lost your original ring in the ocean. I hope this ring sees you through a lifetime of special memories!

Very beautiful!!!

I am in love with the halo!! Its beautiful!! I''m so sorry you lost your old ring only 4 days into your trip!

Thank you everyone for all your kind words! Yes, the band is also Tacori though it is not the eternity ring. The diamonds on the band do not go all the way around, they stop at the same place as the ering.

Your new rings are beautiful!! Many congrats

I love your new set! It''s so pretty and blingy.

Sorry insurance was such a mess.

Your new set is beautiful!!!

What a stunning set!!!!! I really love the ering setting!!! It''s just perfect!

Sorry you lost your original ering and then had to deal with the insurance headache, but your new wedding set is exquisitely beautiful! It looks just lovely on you.

Gorgeous set!!! Your new rings and diamond are so beautiful!

If you don''t mind my asking, what was the problem with State Farm? I ask because we have a separate rider on our Allstate homeowner''s policy for my ring, but I''m always worried about what would happen if something happened to my ring - do I really get a check, etc....

Lovely! So sorry about the old ring!

Gosh, I LOVE that setting so much! It looks great on your hand.

I''m so sorry you lost your ring in the ocean. That had to be an awful shock, but I love your new set. It''s just beautiful.

Vespergirl,

State Farm simply messed up the items listed on our rider. Had my husband checked it more closely we would have seen that they had my original ering, a simple gold band, with my most recent stone, we had upgraded twice. Since my most recent ring was a platinum designer ring with 10 decent sized diamonds, not including the center stone, what they had listed was grossly less than what it should have been. You see our very first agent had the policy correct but then he retired and we got transferred to another agent. We then moved to another state and had to transfer everything again. Somewhere in all the transfers the policy got messed up. The real headache was that since they had the most recent diamond, which we didn''t get until we got the new setting, meant that at some point in time we had supplied them with information for the correct setting and stone. Since there was no proof, when an agent retires they do not transfer hard copies, we were SOL! Again, had we checked our policy closer we probably would have noticed the mistake.

It is also frustrating that if we would have waited to file a claim until after we checked the policy then we would have noticed that it was incorrect and we could have corrected it and then filed the claim.

I can only hope that this is foreWARNING to everyone to check the DETAILS of your insurance policy and get it corrected right away as you never know what might happen!

Oh no! So sorry to hear about your original ring and the insurance hassle. BUT your new ring is simply stunning!!!

Simply gorgeous - but then I would say that since I have almost the same ring. Mine does not have the diamonds down the side of the band, but other than that.......

I love seeing it on other fingers. I really does look fabulous. I hope you get as much pleasure checking out your finger as I have had.

Congratulations - and sorry about all the hassle with the insurance. Good reminder for the rest of us to read the fine print carefully.
