I recently purchased a Tacori setting and had a few questions. This is the link to the ring:

I ended up looking at diamonds at a B&M and found a 1.23 SI2 H at the store where i purchased the setting and had them put that diamond on hold. I told them not to set it since I wanted to think about it some more. Well against my wishes they set the stone in my setting. I got really upset and told them I wanted the stone taken out and I would come pick up the setting up. When they handed me the setting it was wrapped up and in an envelope.....to me when someone hands you something packaged its a dead giveaway to open it up and take a look. When I opened it up and looked at the prongs I could see a small crack on 2 of them. I questioned them about the prongs and they let the jeweler look at it and they said it wasn''t cracked. I took it to another store and they said the prongs would need to be repaired. So I went back and forth with them about it and they said they would repair the prongs, I told them I only wanted Tacori to repair the prongs. They agreed that they would send it to Tacori for the repairs. I ended up finding a diamond, 1.27 VS2 I and brought that in so it could be set by Tacori while it is being repaired. So hopefully in a few weeks I will get the ring back in perfect condition with my diamond set in it.

I was wondering how much a ring like this can be sized, its a 6.5 and my gf''s size is a 5.5. The store said this isn''t a problem, but I was just curious what you guys thought about it. Hopefully it turns out beautiful!!

I absolutely adore the setting! It looks pretty perfect to me and I am dying to see some real life pics. A big high five to you for choosing a setting with sapphire side stones

There should be no problem with going down one size.

Good luck and please comeback with more pictures when the ring arrives.

I concur w/akmiss - I have to tell you, that setting is my absolute FAVORITE ring setting ever EVER, I think your future fiance will be thrilled, and sizing that ring down one size should not be a problem at all.

Good luck and PLEASE come back with pictures!!!!!!!

I''m glad you like the setting!

It was definitely my favorite, and I''m sure she will enjoy it also. She is a HUGE fan of Tacori. I liked it since it is a little different from all the other rings out there. A lot of the stuff i was looking at was all diamonds, and I wanted something with some extra color! Thanks so much for the help. I will post pictures soon!
