After a short stay, I can be taken off the Ladies In Waiting List.
I got engaged Saturday morning!
We bought the ring two months ago, and he was waiting for the ''right time'' for the proposal. I''ve been going crazy wondering when it was going to happen, but my friends here on the forum assured me that it would be worth the wait. It WAS.
Saturday we were getting ready to go out of town. I was completely distracted. He asked when I would be ready to go, and I said about 5 minutes - I was finishing packing. I went into our room and he said that it had been a long time since he had bought me something to wear so he picked something up for me - and there was a garment bag laid out on the bed. This was completely normal, and I suspected nothing, as he sometimes buys clothes for me and does a terrifc job... I thought oh - how nice - a mothers day present. So, I go unzip the garment bag and pull out a a hanger with a red constuction paper heart hanging from the hanger... it said, "I will love you for the rest of your life... please say YES." and the ring box was tied to the heart by a white ribbon and bow. All I could do was say YES, over and over... and cry.
I attatched a picture of the ring, but I don''t have macro lens so it is hard to see. Its a VS1 G Princess Cut center, surrounded by 28 channel set diamonds on 3 sides - VS1 G as well.
So, hang in there Ladies in Waiting! Thank you for your support. And it is SO worth the wait.
