68.5% depth

Only rounds can really be picked by numbers. With cushions, you absolutely HAVE to have pictures in order to choose.

Are you able to plug these numbers into a forumula like rounds?

Neat or other cushion lovers...are you out there?

Nope; there''s no formula for cushions. At the very minimum, you need photos. You would do better with a video or to see them in person.

I''m here...but what everyone else said is true, you can''t judge them by the numbers.

I understand, it is impossible to judge cushions by the numbers. However, it is also not an option for me to see these in person do to the distance of the jewlers. I''ve seen pictures of the 1.06, but not the 1.03. I agree, it would be nice to see a video comparison of the stones side by side...Jon from GOG does a great job with this. Any other suggestions?

If you''re going to buy online, only buy from vendors which give you enough information to make a informed decision about the stones. If you can''t judge the stones by the numbers and that''s all the info a vendor will give you, it makes sense not to take a chance and buy the stone from them.

There's no way to compare unless you can get an ASET image of both, pictures of both, or both are with a vendor you really trust and you can have the vendor compare them for you.

If either is with Mark at ERD I would trust his opinion that it's a gorgeous stone BTW...just in case one of them is there.

Some questions for you:

Can you post the photo of the 1.06?
Do you know who graded these stones? Have you also seen the ''plot''?
What type of cushion is your preference? One that is more square or rectangular? One that has a ''crushed-ice'' appearance or one with more of an antique look with ''chunky'' facets?

Both stones were graded by GIA

I don''t really have a strong preference on the ratio, just don''t want something over 1.15

Originally, I was interested in radiant cuts...but didn''t care for their crushed ice look....therefore, I''m after an antique look, but would like to get as close to round brilliance as possible.

Sorry, I can''t post any pics of the stone
