Tanzanite Pendant Design Idea

Hi all!
I have an oval tanzanite stone, beautiful deep blue, that is around 2.3 carats that I picked up when working in Africa many years ago.
I want to have this made into a pendant as a gift to my soon to be wife. I am struggling a bit with designs.

Any ideas or similar pendant readers have would be great! She's always been a fan of art deco type pieces but she loves modern pieces too. So trying for one or a combination. She's quite petite so don't want it too bulky.

Probably best to ask this in the coloured stone forum.
It might pay to narrow down the style as well.
What colour metal? Or two colours? yellow and white/pink and white gold?
Do you want diamonds or other colour stones with it?
Do you want a large piece, or smaller?
What sort of chain? Or pearls?
Do you want the main stone completely framed, or just diamonds to the top?

The list of possibel designs can be endless without some direction.

The list of possible designs are endless I agree. I ended up narrowing it down to an art deco inspired piece to match her ring style and went to two local jewelers and gave them free range with my budget in mind. One came up with beautiful but boring design, the other a really original art deco design which I went for. So ended up being, white gold, small diamonds with it, a slightly larger piece with a plain chain.

Thanks for the idea. That pendant is beautiful but I ended up going for a more art deco inspired piece. I also think a jeweler would charge a fortunate to make such an interesting shaped piece like that
