Tennis Bracelet Questions

Hello! Fairly new lurker and first time poster. I’ve been doing some research on PS and have learned so much. Recently my husband gifted me a 5 CT Costco tennis bracelet. The Costco bracelet is 7in and I color VS2. It’s beautiful but more of a line style and 4 prong so it looks a little square. I would love one with 3 prongs where the stones are separated and look more round. With that being said, I reached out to IDJ and spoke with Lisa and she was kind enough to send me a video and some specs. I’m trying to decide between the 5 or 6 carat but she did not have the 6 carat in stock to send me pictures of. She did send me the following info:

They would be F color SI and also 7in.
47 round diamonds 5.00ctw 0.10ptr 3mm $4850.00
44 round diamonds 6.00ctw 13-14ptr 3.5mm $5395.00

I have no idea what pointers or mm are visually. If anyone here could help me with maybe a photo of what you have that are within these dimensions I would be so grateful.

It’s gorgeous! Thank you for responding! Do you feel it gets caught in sweaters etc? I have toddlers and just nervous about it catching on things!

To be honest I tend to wear it during the warmer weather when I don’t have to worry about sleeves or getting it caught on jumpers etc . Or I wear it on special occasions.
I added a safety chain and a couple of times I’ve accidentally caught the chain, but in general I’ve had this for 4 years and it’s worn well.
Although I don’t wear to sleep, I have showered with it on and I don’t tend to baby it too much.

I am also on the look out for a 6.5” three prong style bracelet with PS quality stones and the prices I got from IDJ for 6 ct tw 14 pointer stones is about $7400. Now I know from February - April diamond prices have increased considerably but $2000 more is not the contingency I had planned for.
I’m wondering whether to go smaller - I have a bangle with 8 pointers so I wasn’t quite thrilled with the look of 12 pointers.
Or should I just wait for this everything is crazy expensive phase to get over.

Who knows if and when the prices go back down? I am sure the vendors wish they would - harder to sell at these high prices. I would rather wait though to get what I wanted. Generally speaking, you can’t trade tennis bracelets in so I would rather not get stuck with something I didn’t love.

Wow that is a huge price difference. I will say I went with the 6 ct 14 ptr stones and I’m really happy with it. It’s a substantial size on me and looks way better and bigger than the Costco one but I also think that part of it is the way it’s set (3 prong). I would wait until prices go down but IDJ did tell me that I can always trade this one in if I want to upgrade in the future.

I would not go smaller for sure. I would either wait and see what happens to diamond prices, like you said, or I would ask them to price out a bracelet with lower colour diamonds if that’s something you’re comfortable with (personally at the 13-14pt size I would easily go down to H or I).

That is interesting that they would let you trade it in for an upgrade! I don’t think all vendors do that.
