Potentially looking for a tennis bracelet, 4-6cts in white gold. Is there anything specific I should be looking for re: setting, clasp, etc.?

Also for those that already own one, do you wear yours every day? Or to bed?

Mine is 5cttw H/I and SI stones in 14K WG, 7.5in in length, bezel-set MRB stones made by my usual bench that I use in China.

Considerations to be made include the following:
- Length of bracelet as some like their looser than others
- Size of the stones in relation to real life perspective
- Different settings, prongs and how many or bezel etc...
- Clasp security - at least one safety catch, two would be more secure
- Earth-mined or LGD
- Budget

My advice would be to trawl through the threads on tennis bracelet in this message board, especially this big thread with many examples in it:

Also to go out and about and try on as many different length, stone size and settings as you could before committing to buy one, from the likes of mall and B&M jewellery stores, even costume ones from the likes of Berricle etc; to find the one that ticks all the boxes for you, as shortening a bracelet can be considered as a custom piece that may not be returned or exchanged.

IDJ appears to be highly recommended for tennis bracelet on this board, however, I did not get mine from them as already mentioned (I am in UK).

I have been wearing a tennis bracelet made with simulants in Rhodium-plated silver for a number of years and finally had an earth-mined diamond one made in 2020 when I could access funds for spending on blings.

The real thing only comes out for dressier occasions, and I continue to wear a costume jewellery one on a daily basis so that I don't have to baby it.

I opted for an earth-mined diamond one as the price difference between this and LGD was negligible for the specification I wanted.

I don't wear any jewellery to bed except for the sleeper earrings to keep my ear piercing opened when I was about 11yo.

All my own experience and opinion etc...

Have fun spec'ing your bracelet!

DK :))

Mine is 6.75 inches, 7 ct. the stones are about 17 points each, 4 prong. It has a clasp and then a small catch to reinforce the clasp. I only wear mine when I'm getting dressed up and I don't wear it to bed. I got mine at ID Jewelry and am very happy with it!

I wear a 3 carat one every single day and my style is casual. IMHO a four carat would look fine for daily wear on just about anyone.

A six carat may or may not be kind of blingy with jeans and a t-shirt but that would be a choice in personal taste and lots of people would say go for it.

I have 3 ct that I wear 24/7. There prong. Never had a problem but it is from Whiteflash.
