I have a .75 CTW brilliant cut diamond with a band the same width as the diamond...I wanted 2 semi-eternity bands flanking it as my wedding set, but I''m having some trouble making up my mind. Any pics of wedding sets with a tension set e-ring would be greatly appreciated!

Here''s my simple tension with my simple band.... The diamond is .63, the engagement ring is 4mm, and my wedding band is 3mm. It works for me...

were having the same problem, what kind do you have?

Kristen, I think I''ve admired your ring before, if I recall it was previously set in white gold?! All I can say is WOW does the ever pop with the yellow gold! That set is beautiful!

MikeRato1 - I can''t post my pics up here for some reason (I''m not very computer literate), but it''s a 6mm wide band, my diamond is 6mm in diameter, it''s comfort fit & euroshank, not an omega setting (I don''t know how to describe it, it''s just straight across, not twisty at all), ...I''m looking into 2 semi-eternity bands to flank either side, but they would need quite narrow if I did that... I guess I''m just looking for inspiration. I''ll see if I can find a link to something similar to my e-ring.

Thanks for posting guys! I was getting discouraged...

kboggs315 I just love your rings. My sister is getting a blue diamond set for her tenth anniversary. I suggested yellow gold since her engagement/wedding ring is yellow. The whole family wrinkled their nose and said "not for a blue diamond!" I am showing them your rings and then they''ll see my point!

(sorry for the thread jack)

Kelli - the more the merrier! :) And, I totally agree - nothing better to make the blue diamond "pop"!

Kboggs, I too have absolutely admired your set, and I am definitly going to reset my 1/4ct solitaire next year in a tension setting.

bump....anyone?

Hi Jennie,

I also have a tension set ring, which I usually wear with two rings-- I originally intended to use only my anniversary band and the e-ring, but found that with the right kind of hit, the diamonds could hit one another and so I ended up buying a third ring to go between them. Make sure you test out every possible pushing, etc. before deciding to pair a tension set diamond with an anniversary band -- you wouldn''t want to damage your stone, and being left open like that it''s a little more vulnerable than other traditionally set diamonds.

Here''s a larger view, the collage was sort of puny.

And with the two rings.

Straight on view of the Memoire ring and the tension (these are the two that can hit together under the right circumstances -- basically a horizontal hit to the e-ring will do it).

Kris,

I love your spacer band...may I ask what width your rings are? I am thinking that I may go with two of your spacer bands as I tried on other eternity bands & DF hated how it wasn''t flush with my ering on the edges...lol.

Thank you for posting! :)

Hi Jennie,

Happy to help. By the way, the other band would set flush, I had it "tipped out" so that it didn''t obscure the view of the tension setting -- although that depends upon one''s definition of flush, I guess anniv. bands are kind of scalloped compared to a channel set band. Just wanted you to know it could sit up next to it. As far as the spacer band goes: It is the 1/2 ct channel set from Tiffany''s, I looked on their site and they list it as 2 mm. For comparison, my e-ring is either 5 or 6 mm.

Best wishes,
Kris

Rock Pile - I love the fun ring you have pictured with your ering. So cool!
