Boy I feel like I''m full of questions these days...lol...My fiance''s grandmother sent me a place setting a couple of days ago from my registry. When I called her on the phone to thank you her she said that it was my Christmas gift(she''s almost 90 and hasn''t been able to get out of the house). She has been telling me for months that my Christmas gift was going to be china.

Now as I sit down to write a thank you note to her I am trying to decide what thank you cards to use. I had some cute little cards printed up with the name of my fiance and I. I also have note cards with just my name. If you were in my situation which card would you use. This may not even be a huge deal but it''s bugging me for some reason...lol

My reason for wanting to to use the card with both of our names is because it was a gify from our wedding registry and it is something that we will both use. On the other hand she has been making it a point to say YOUR Christmas gift will be china. It''s not like she bought my fiance a Christmas gift, so by using the word YOUR she could have meant for the both of us...i dunno...what would you do????

I would buy an individual fun, more personal thank you card from a card store, but that''s just because it wasn''t a gift among many, like the wedding gifts will be. You can also just avoid the issue of whether the gift was for you singular or plural. I wouldn''t use anything with both of your names unless it was for the wedding specificially, but that''s just me.

I think you should send her a thank you card from both of you, since she bought something off of yours and FI's registry, and its something that you will both use.

And, I agree with Sabine, get a more personal thank you card than the one with just your names on it.
