some guests at my wedding gave me a card but no gift or check. it may be they still send me a gift later, but i''m not expecting it and don''t really care--i just don''t know if i should still send them a thank you note. maybe i''ll just send everyone who came to the wedding a note thanking them for coming & for the card or gift--it was a small destination wedding.

i guess a thank you for coming card would be appropriate since everyone probably spent 500-1000 bucks just to come for airfare/hotel/rental car???

Yeah, I'd just send a card thanking them for coming and sharing your special day with you, emphasizing that you were really glad they came, something like that.

I think it would be very nice to write the guest a note thanking him/her for attending your wedding. If he/she wrote a nice note in the card, perhaps you could reference that in your "thank you".

Yeah, a card thanking them for coming would be a nice thing to do. It only takes a minute of your time and not everyone can afford to give a gift.

Four-itto sending a card whether they gave a gift or not.

Fivitto.
