Thankful!

[MINE!!]

The Monday before Thanksgiving I tell my kids to think of what they are Thankful for, so on Thanksgiving they can share what they are thankful for...

So what are you thankful for?

I am thankful that I have family and that they are healthy. I am thankful that we have enough food and that there is a roof over myhead. I am thankful for all my friends. I am thankful that God loved and trusted me enough to fill my life with blessing. I AM so thankful!!!!

Tara (my daughter): Says she is thankful for her family and friends. She is thankful for God and love.

My other daughter is busy watching cartoon network!! LOL

I have so much to be thankful for.. my amazingly sweet fiance, my family, especially my amazingly supportive parents and loving neices and nephews.. AND.. I am thankful for my in-laws to be (Even though I want to kill them sometimes.. I don''t know what we would do without them!).. also... I am thankful for my friends and my coworkers who are so fantastic and who I will miss so much in a few weeks when I start my new career.

My new hubby who loves and pampers me relentlessly
My family and their love and support
Life and health (as bad as mine is because of my recent car accident)
My friends (including all the wonderful people I''ve met here)
Freedom
Opportunities
Having a roof over my head and food on the table
Frequent flyer miles (my little brother is home for a full month while he figures out where he''ll do his orthopedic residency)


Oh, and as my grandpa always says, I''m thankful I''m not a turkey at this time of year!

I have a lot to be thankful for this year & my list could be rather long, so I will just say that I am thankful that so many great things have happened and I have had wonderful people around to help, support & celebrate with me!

My other daughter says :she is thankful for the time she gets to spend with all her family. She is thankful that she has strength to run and a voice to laugh with. She says she is thankful for being able to see God''s sunsets and hear the birds sing. She is thankful for mommy hugs and doggie kisses.

I''m thankful for family, friends, livelihood, a mind to think with, resources to build with, and the opportunity to do more than I have done with the time available to me. I turned 50 this year...it has a bit of an edge, and also, with 10 and 6 year old boys at home, a bit guilty for not making a bit better use of whatever extra time I do have.

Bringing me, of course, to Pricescope. Am I thankful for Pricescope?

It is my scourge. I do spend too much here, relatively. It is bittersweet. I feel I have friends here (a cover story yesterday on the Washington Post talked about our "Avatar lives," and how many of us experience our actual lives on-line. This is not really a favored image of myself.

I am thankful for those who take the time to write here, those who are interested to sometimes read what I write, and to those who are interested in the good life for one and all.

Ah Starset, you made me cry with that!!!

I am thankful for so many things: that I have a home, a family, a wonderful and loving husband and marriage. That I have a job I actually like! I am thankful for my health, for my mental health too. This has been, overall, a great year for me. I finally made peace with some demons and let go of my anger and sadness over the past. I am thankful that I have gotten to a place in my life where I am truly happy with who I am and that I can finally say I love myself.

But most of all, I am thankful to be alive. I am thankful for the soldiers that I shared my time with overseas just over a year ago. Those soldiers are now my family, my best friends. They had my back and got me out alive. I am thankful for those thousands of troops who are over there at this very moment protecting our freedoms and liberties, as they miss out on Thanksgiving and home-cooked meals. I ask you all to remember them as well - we are only here to enjoy our lives because of them! Remember that there are over 2100 families who will never get the chances to have another Thanksgiving with their soldier. Please be thankful for what they have sacrificed for us - and pray for their souls.

I''ve thought about this thread since I first saw it. I am thankful for myriad things...

I have the life I planned, worked and dreamed for.

I have a great family--a husband who adores me. My teens feel secure enough that they can think Mom and Dad are complete dorks, and start the natural separation process between parent and child.

I also still have my father and my in laws (who treat me like a daughter and my father as a close friend). We are all active and healthy.

My kids are doing well in school, especially my son. He just started high school, so grades are really important. They both will make honor roll.

I have a wonderful home, neighbors and friends. We look out for and support each other in the trials of everyday life.

My synagogue is on the cusp of finally finding a home after 8 years of being wandering Jews.

I hav e been through some really awful times in my life, so I relish the good ones.

I am happy and content, regardless of jewels.
