I got out in about 10-12 minutes, only because I used to 'MUD' intensively and solve quests. I knew to examine everything in the room.

A mud is text based, and this is pictorial framework instead but still very enjoyable!

I'm trying not to give too much away, but it took me a long time to figure out how to find the second ring.
 
Same thing...I found everything except the second ring! So, I had to cheat!

Yesterday I had all the items, but had no idea what to do after the dancing guy. I cheated, and GOD it feels GOOD! MWAHAHAHAHA!

Hey Nic...

With the dancing guy, he kinda gives you a hint...if you look closely enough.

You are *NOT* challenged, I just got really good at finding my way though the most complicated challenges while MUDing (Multi User Dimension). These were very popular during the time the internet first came into it's own. Mostly text based, some were too violent. My own home, http://www.dragonmud.com isn't like that, and yes, it's still operating, quests and all.

We have users there who can barely read, (ages about 3...) to children who grew up there (who are now out of college AND grad school, to Professors who are still in the trenches, ages 60-70 and higher. This particular mud started at NAU (Northern ARizona University) moved to UCSD, (University of California, San Diego Campus) and is now hosted by the owner/writer himself.

Check it out, it's still fun!

So I'm out of the Crimson room, but not the Viridian room. My brain is saying this isn't the right way to spend Sunday afternoon any more.....

It's been a few years since I've ditched classes to play MUD and apparently I'm too impatient for it now.

Got stuck finding the second ring, and have had to use a few *hints*.

Well, I shouldn't have started it late at night and didn't want to go to sleep at 4am without getting OUT of the room!

I think I better wait until the weekend to start the Viridian room or I'm going to have panda eyes again!

Winyan, have you ever heard of a MUD called "the edge of darkness"? It was a pretty small MUD I think but I had lots of fun leveling!

tonysgeko...what have you done to me???? I just had to try my hand at the Veridian room...OK- that sh*t is crazy...There is NONONONONO way out without hints. I got hints and still couldn't get out. IMPOSSIBLE
 
Sorry about your frustrations MMM, it wasn't my intent. When I first saw this on techtv, I thought it would be a cool way to take a break from all the tech talk about diamonds etc. How about a nice round of golf instead? Have a look here miniputt

I have to brag..... In an obsessed moment, I actually scored a perfect score of 18 twice on this game. many hours were burned..............
