I meant to make this earlier but completely forgot with it being finals week and what not.
I'm actually the fiancee, and I've taken over the account now. C:
For those that want a little background, Mr. Crybaby came into the forums requesting some help picking out a diamond and setting for his proposal. A lot of people came to his call for aid, and the result was a stunningly beautiful engagement ring that not left my finger since the day it returned from JA (which is a story of its own).
The proposal itself was so sweet and romantic.
I actually drove into New Orleans to see him for the weekend (we're in a short distance relationship while he is in professional school), and he surprised me with Thai for lunch. After that, he took me to a fancy dessert bar downtown where we had affogato for the first time! When we finished and came home, he proposed in the privacy of his apartment. It was perfect for us because he's a private person in general and I cry a lot. I think I cried for a whole 30 minutes and he was really concerned that I was upset. (I wasn't!) Afterwards, we went and got bubble tea. He understands my love of things both shiny and sweet because he's so sweet and gave me something super shiny.
