well...I bought the dress...I tried it on again and I KNEW it was the one.

thank you!!! it is Ines Di Santo but it is a sample...I would like to lose a little weight but the back corset could always be tighter, so yeah, it doesn't look like it needs TOO many alterations (I will of course wait until closer to the date, and I find shoes)

I am so excited :) :) the lace is GORGEOUS...I don't think I could ever find a dress like this one. Mom is slightly upset that she didn't get to do the whole dress shopping experience but she loves it too :)

thanks everyone...my mom is VERY upset that we didn't go to all of the bridal stores and try on dresses together...she said some very hurtful things...hopefully she will get over it because I LOVE THIS DRESS :) :) :)

That is a beautiful dress and looks great on you. I kind of know how you feel. My mother is not living, but I was planning a dress shopping trip with my future MIL. But than my dress came up, and it was at a trunk show and discounted. If I would have waited more than a week to decide, the dress would have been out of budget. So I bought it. She was disappointed, but understood.

I am sorry your mother said all those things to you, but I hope she cools down and understands your decision. Once she cools down, I would invite your mother to come with you to veil and accessory shopping trips. That way, she can still feel she is having some influence in helping you select your look for the big day.
 
thanks LtlFirecracker...yeah with these dresses it just seems like you have to get it then! I am glad you got yours :) I am definitely going veil shopping, shoe shopping, earring shopping, EVERYTHING else with mom. I think in the end of it she just wants me to be happy but was upset because I am her only child.

so I have been looking for other pictures of this dress online and could not find any...I emailed the address given on the Ines Di Santo website and this is the response I got...just wanted to share :)

This dress was an exclusive dress that we made for a salon. The style name is CONNIE and it is from a few years ago. This gown is made of Chantilly lace with Alencon lace appliqués throughout the skirt and handmade organza flowers.

Thanks guys...I am so in love with this dress!! I am a bit porky (for me) right now so I would definitely like to lose a few lbs and tone up a bit. I think this post has so many views because I keep coming back to look at it... :saint:

People come back to read what you write and see how you follow up on comments! No one would come back repeatedly to gawk if they did not like your dress, silly ;)) They might if your dress was a total train wreck or you could see your panties or something, but neither is the case here :shock:
