We're running down to the one week final countdown (YAY!) with almost everything taken care of and so I have plenty of nervous energy to spend right now. After spending plenty of my spare time taking bead glam pictured I thought I'd post a short thread with all the bands and rings together, most of them patiently waiting in a box for next weekend.
There's a local store that keeps some unique artisan made wedding jewelry and after MUCH backing and forthing on to mokume or not to mokume, VC or no, white gold or yellow we decided to go with special wedding bands instead of regular ones. We ended up with a subtle Damascus Steel band for him bezel set with a little accent diamond and the Van Craeynest 5 blossom ring for me. Orders were placed, and the waiting began.
Things finally came together in July and everything showed up at once. We both loved the look of them together and I really appreciated that he was very involved in the process and really wanted everything to be very special. The steel is more masculine but organic and flowing at the same time and mine more overtly feminine. So here they are, the bands by themselves, and the whole group together.
