I ordered my reception dress (finally) and now I need some shoes. I put together a shoe collage to help myself decide, and thought I would see what you all think. Our reception will be very activity-driven, so if I get a pair of heels, I will also get a pair of flats (either 2, 3, 4, or 5). FI hates 6, so that pair is out of the running, but I didn''t want to remake the collage. TIA!

Oh, and if you know the right pair and don''t see it here, feel free to suggest others. I am a 9 and want to spend less than $150.

SURE IT IS.

I like #1. Those are just my style of shoes. And your dress is so simple, I think it would look fabulous with some serious sparkle.

Plus a pair of flip flops.

ETA: All of those options are great though!!!

But I love #6. My eye went right to them. Sort of retro.

Where did you find #4?! Those are exactly what I am looking for for my reception shoes.

I like all of those, but I vote #8. Love them!

I LOVE #1 and #8! They are gorgeous and would look stunning with your dress. Not crazy about any of the flats, but I guess #4 would look the best out of all of them.

Wow...this is so totally NOT me because I normally hate ruffles, but I have to say I actually like #2 (edited; accidentally said 4 at first but meant 2) best with your dress. They just seem to "click" with it.

And are 5 from Nine West? If they're the shoes I'm thinking of, I tried them on, and they are extremely comfortable!

I like 8 with your dress, but I prefer a splash of gold color rather than the white/ivory that 8 is.

Will your dress(es) go easily from a 3+ inch (or less) heal to a flat? I bought these Manolos (they''re 4 inches), and I know I want to change to dancing shoes, but most ballroom dancing shoes are less than 4 inches. I hope I can get away with changing to a 3-inch heel.

Number 1 for sure, gorgeous!

I''m with you...#1 then #8. #1 are so sexy!

1 is lovely, but I actually love the Oh DEER! ones, 6. I have them in black, and they''re amazingly comfortable.
1 would give you some major glitz with your lovely dress!

#1 followed by #2. I think #1 is gorgeous, talk about a pair of faint-inducing shoe. I love you collage by the way. And the reception dress is super gorgeous.

Number 1!

I love #1 and #2

I really love number 1 for your dress.

In fact, I love them so much, would there any way that you might be persuaded to share where you found them?

For the flat, number 2. You won't be able to dance in the wooden soles of the other flats. They won't flex and they will flop all around and you'll probably end up barefoot.

I love #6.

Would #7 be suitable for the whole event - they look comfy?

ETA: I re-read and saw #6 is out. Why tease us with a shoe we can't pick. Ok so I change my primary vote to #8. Silly BF, who told him he has an opinion?

Hehe, I should have known PSers would go for the sparkly shoes! I guess that is why those were my favorite, too

Thanks, Freke! I totally agree, and it tends to be very much how I dress. Plain and simple above the ankle with all the interest on the foot.

Thanks for the vote, lulu! I am going for a modern vintage look.

No problem, GoingCrazy. I found them at J.Crew. Heres the link. They have them in leather, too, but the plastic ones would be <$20 with the student discount (if you have a .edu e-mail address).

Thanks, ilovesparkles! I wish I could rock heels all night, but our reception is going to be at least 9 hours and I know I will need flats eventually.

Ooh, good to hear that #5 are comfy, jstar! They are by Nine West and I was thinking about getting them in black, even if I didn''t get them for the reception. I love ruffles, but I am glad to hear that #2 works, even for someone who doesn''t. And, I totally agree about the gold. I also love #8, but even though they are amazing shoes, I feel like it wouldn''t be as interesting. I should add them to the wedding shoe thread, though, because they are awesome!

Hi brendaman. My reception dress is short--it is actually the one in the middle of the collage. My actual wedding shoes are 5" CLs (eeks!). My seamstress told me I could change heels by about and inch, but not going from those to flats. Your shoes are gorgeous!

Thanks, Dannielle!

Thanks, tyty! Aren''t they?! So totally not my style, generally, but I do love them!

Excellent to hear princessplease! They were on sale pretty cheap, so maybe I will also get them in black, because they totally look like a great pair of party shoes, so if they also feel like a great pair of party shoes, what a win!

Thanks, Ally! I''m blushing! The sparkle is WOW!

Thanks, SapphireLover and cocolaw!

I would be happy to share, HouseCat. They are "Bijou" by Baby Phat. However, they are from last fall, so they might be hard to find. I saw them in a local bridal shop (where I got my reception dress), but they only had them in a 5. I found them at 6pm.com, but they only had one pair in a size 9. They also had them at Overstock when I initially found them, but they are sold out now. It might be good to keep checking, though, just in case someone returns them. Good luck finding them! I will let you know if I find them anywhere else. Also, excellent call about the wooden soles. I didn''t even think of that, but it is so true.

lol, Steel,! FI actually hates my reception dress (but he has only seen it on the model, so I don''t think he will when he sees it on me). That is the only reason he is getting a say this time

. The heel on 7 is only 2" so I could totally wear them all night. And, they are only $50!
