Hi Everyone. I've been considering trying to consign on therealreal.com and I was wondering if anyone here has consigned with them sucessfully (or not)?

I have not sold tgere but I have bought from there. It was an easy quick transaction with no problems, but it wasn't jewelry. Their focus is on designer goods so branded, signed jewelry may do better than unbranded.

I've also purchased on that site- amazing prices. I'm just leery about shipping my pieces out to them and having them take over.. but I guess when consigning you're giving up a level of control over the situation.

I've bought many times - fast shipping and accurate representation. I wouldn't hesitate to consign a branded piece

I've considered TheRealReal, but so far I've stuck with Tradesy because they take less of the sale price (Tradesy takes 14.9% of the sale, and then it's an extra 2.9% to transfer the money to your bank account. On TRR the fee ranges from 30-45%, depending on the price of the item you are selling). Not sure what you are trying to sell, but I've had luck selling a couple Tiffany pieces (and clothes/shoes/accessories) on Tradesy. Maybe try listing on Tradesy first, and then if it doesn't sell switch over to TRR?
