I don't post or browse RT often, the last time was when I was in the market for an OEC about 0.8ct which was my only significant diamond purchase in 15 years!
However, I was in Amsterdam on business recently and stayed longer for leisure as a tourist.
While on the bus, I saw in passing a diamond museum, and decided to go there and had a look (it was not free). I then discovered it was next to Royal Coster Diamonds that I had never heard of, and decided to pop in to have a look too as it was free entry.
I then discovered they had a named diamond called the "Royal 201" with 201 facets (!!!), and the display of a large replica next to a MRB showed it was a lot more sparkly than the MRB.
However, this is completely new to me, and thought I should ask in RT if anyone knows about this named diamond with significantly more facets than a MRB.
Apparently, the Royal 201 can only be purchased from Royal Coster and nowhere else, not sure if this is true or not.
The tour was interesting as they had a display involving their cutter who held the Guinness Book of Records for cutting the tiniest MRB!!!
