I recently came across the first piece of jewelry my then boyfriend and now husband gave to me many years ago. It's a yellow gold ring with a small sapphire. It changes colors from purple to blue and looks a bit dark in this photograph.
Do you also have a first piece your partner gave to you? I'd love to see!IMG_9740.jpeg

This antique spinel was my e-ring for 10+ years and I usually wore it alone. It is picturing much pinker than it is, it's glows red in person. It's the most sentimental as I usually buy all of my own jewelry.

I desperately need to size it up :lol:

I am commenting here so that I will remember to post mine when I get home as well as see what others post. I love this idea for a thread!

My .40 Tiffany solitaire necklace, for my birthday 6 weeks after we met. The platinum box chain is a replacement for the original, snapped by teeny grabby fingers about 12 years ago. I only remove it to clean.

I can't find the first piece my husband gave me when we were dating, but it was a sterling silver baseball, as he used to play baseball for his state. He gave it to me with a silver ID bracelet and the baseball was attached to one end of the slim name plate. I was so proud!

I think I had a sterling ring which has since been lost, but this little diamond and sapphire ring was the first major piece of jewelry DH bought me when we were a young couple (way before getting married). We were 22 or 23 and still in grad school. I remember it was from Macy's and it cost around $300 which was a huge deal for us back then; I thought the ring was a very big deal even though of course the stones aren't high quality haha. The illusion look was a popular look then too. I love the sentimentality of it though and would never give it up.

Cartier Love bracelet. I've been wearing it for 14 years and have never taken it off. Just clean and polish right on my wrist. :mrgreen2:

LOL me too. I could've posted a better photo of the bracelet but I really liked his paw in there.

I take it back! I forgot about this! This brass torc bracelet was the very first thing he ever got for me. I used to wear and bang it on everything all the time. We went to an area Highland Games, had a grand old time, when we first started dating a billion years ago...

You must have known you were onto a good thing, @Ally T!! <3

What an excellent idea for a thread!!!

The first piece of jewelry that DH gave me was this dainty diamond ring! The interesting part of the story: At the time he was living in Canada and I was living in Europe. He bought the ring without knowing my size and brought it with him on a trip that he made in order to visit me. I opened the box and thought to myself: No way that this will fit my 4.75 size finger. Well, guess what? It was a perfect fit!!!! When I asked him how did he get the size right (since my size is not at all common), he said: "I guessed, because your fingers are so slender!"
It was meant to be:love::love::love:

This was my 8th grade graduation present from my boyfriend who later became my husband. I still have the wrapping paper and bow tucked away.

I still love and wear it. I Still love him too.❤
