My husband and I went out to dinner. It was a night on the town, dinner and shopping. We gave our selves a limit on how much each could spend, we wanted to treat ourselves but if we don''t call out a ""no more than"" number... we always over indulge. The neighborhood of our favorite restaurant is very high end. Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci TIFFANY etc... I have never bought myself anything from these stores. I have a couple of small coach/Dooney items but that''s it. I saw a pair of Tiffany earring on their website and was hoping I could afford them but unfortunately I could not. Instead I got a credit card holder.

I let the sales lady know that I was on a budget and only had a certain amount to spend, this way she could get straight to only what was within my limit. She was very nice and understanding. Most high end sales reps are not loaded with money and tend to be middle class.

Here is a link to my Tiffany. Mine is a different color. Classic Tiffany blue

Tell me how you acquired your first Tiffany, would love to see pictures

My first piece was the silver Ventian link bracelet. My husband took me to Chicago and bought it for me. He got me the toggle bracelet with my intial on the charm, in silver for Xmas one year. For my birthday I got the DBTY diamond solitare pendant in platinum and the last item he got me was the Celebration band with alternating sapphires and diamonds in platinum. The thing that is cool about the pieces I''ve received is that he picked them all out himself and surprised me with each.

westjenn - your pieces sound amazing, I''d love to see pics

I''ve gotten two things from Tiffany from my DH - both sterling silver, as we''re still on a one-person-in-grad-school budget
3.gif

I have the Elsa Peretti circle pendant and the large butterfly pendant - I adore Tiffany sterling silver, and these pieces just feel so much better quality to me than others that I''ve owned from less high-end lines.

I found a silver Tiffany necklace in a charity shop a couple of years ago. I bought it for about $4. I was shocked to find it and afraid that someone else would recognize the style or hallmark before I paid and left.

One of my first credit cards was from Tiffany - I still have it and use it! LOL!

I don''t think I have gotten anything for myself there other than perfume and Christmas cards. I have the requisite baby items in sterling [rattle, spoon, etc.] - some purchased by me and others given as gifts to DD. I have wedding gifts from there. DD has also been the beneficiary of lots of Tiffany sterling jewelry which she wears daily from both me and her Dad [my ex]. I also send something from Tiffany if I have to give a wedding or baby gift.

My first Tiffany piece was the Elsa Peretti Small Open Heart Pendant from my then fiance/now husband for Valentines Day a couple of years ago. I was so surprised- he isn't at all a jewelry guy (and getting him to walk into a jewelry store with me takes serious coaxing), but he actually walked into a Tiffany's to buy it for me, unasked. I love it.

My only other Tiffany piece is one I received for Christmas this year from my father, the Elsa Peretti Letter Pendant. It's dainty and adorable (the photo below is much bigger than actual size).

I have this band. I used to wear it with 2 eternity bands (Facets) flanking it, but now it''s just sitting in my jewelry case.

That''s really cute!

The only two Tiffany pieces I own are silver pendant necklaces - the open heart style (same as Ebree's link) and the starfish one.

It's SCARY how much their prices have increased. When I bought my starfish, it was around $130. Now it's $215!

The open heart was an anniversary present from my DH and the starfish I bought because I liked it and I wear that one during the summer when I'm at the beach or park w/my kids and mommy friends - I feel silly wearing diamond necklaces in those venues.

The Starfish pendant:

I''m trying to remember, and I don''t have many jewelry pieces from Tiffany, but TONS of crystal.

I have an oval Return to Tiffany choker from about 6 years ago. But I have this awesome bowl and vase that has crystal hearts around the rim as you look down. Can''t remember the name of it for the life of me. I bought the vase for my parents for my wedding, and eventually they sent me the bowl and I boght the vase for myself to match.

Their crystal pieces are nice. I have 2. A Bamboo Platter and a chunky votive holder. My husband bought a bunch of the crystal Tifffany Bow boxes for the ladies in his office. He wanted all of them to have something from Tiffany''s. You should have seen the looks he got walking down 5th Ave. in NYC with 2 huge Tiffany Blue shopping bags !!

My one and only Tiffany piece is a small elsa peretti bean pendant. A former employer gave it to me when I left. It''s supposed to represent a kidney. It''s cute and I love it.

Let''s see, I have a few pieces:

Tiffany Return to Tiffany Oval tag keychain in sterling silver - my first Tiffany piece, received either my senior yr in HS or 1st yr in college, can''t remember (from parents). They don''t have the oval anymore, here''s the round - http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=15882263&mcat=148206&cid=288196&search_params=s+5-p+11-c+288196-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+

Tiffany 1837 sterling silver round pendant - from BF/ now husband (our first Christmas together) http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=21119768&mcat=&cid=&search_params=s+1-p+2-c+-r+101424819+101287465-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+&search=1

And my newest pieces and most beautiful pieces from my wonderful hubby: Tiffany 18kt white gold and diamonds necklace and earrings from their Signature collection
Earrings - http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=23789256&mcat=148206&cid=288200&search_params=s+5-p+1-c+288200-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+

My first piece was a large open heart pendant which was a gift from my husband, the one I use most often is the keyring. I am about to buy a travel jewel box.

I''m intrigued by the crystal, they don''t stock much of it here in Australia, but I will be in NYC in March and would love a keepsake from the 5th Ave store. I''ll be limited by size and weight and portability though!

My very first piece was the Elsa Peretti eternal circle. I'd been looking at and loving it for quite some time (more than a couple of years). I didn't get into my first choice college on the first go, so I busted my booty freshman year (at a different university) to make transfer admission (which was even more competitive at this uni). When I was accepted by the school I decided that if I was accepted into the program I was after, I'd get the pendant. So the day after I got my acceptance letter, I went to Tiffany and bought my pendant!

elsaperettieternalcircle.jpg

Some years later, my husband and I were engaged and he gave me the Elsa Peretti "M" (my new surname) as a birthday gift. (I had hinted for it, he didn't just presume the whole name-changing thing

A few months after that, I fell in love with their Jazz band, and we chose it for my wedding ring. On their website and in real life:

<img src="http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/files/museyjazzband475.jpg"

I had no intention of being such a Tiffany girl, and I still don't think of them as being the 'best' place to buy jewelry, but somehow I ended up in love with three of their pieces!!

Hehe, Beth! I bet!!!!

My husband and I were walking through the Bellagio with our gifts we had picked out at the T & Co. there. We had 2 HUGE bags to hold all of the vases and bowls we bought as thank you gifts for our family.

I would like to share my Tiffany & CO. bracelet. I posted in a while back but this picture is much more appealing. My god mother gave this to me. I think I was 13 at the time. I wear it every day now. I have a hanging heart necklace but its being untangled. I really do need a good jewelry box. Anyways... obviously my wedding rings are not from Tiffany but I was fooling around with my camera and thought this picture came out nice. You can can the blue box right through my stone.

I wanted to catch direct sun light but the wasps on my front porch are not looking friendly today.

I gave my daughter the heart pendant for a birthday, and I have the Tiffany legacy wedding band which I love. I am planning to go to NYC in June and I plan on buying something there as a souvenir!!!

My first Tiffany piece was a "Return to Tiffany" key ring- my birthday was around the same time that I''d asked my parents if I could stay home by myself after school for the hour or so until they got home after work. My mom decided I was grown up enough and gave me a Tiffany keychain to keep my house key on. I STILL carry it - I don''t think it''s recognizable as Tiffany, though (turns out that sterling silver is REALLY soft when it gets bumped around for 13 years).

My second Tiffany was when I was 13 or 14 - mom gave me the Paloma Picasso Loving Heart necklace. For birthdays or christmases during high school, I also received the matching earrings and single heart ring.

In college, I lost the heart ring. I stayed over at a friend''s house, and we''d been partying late into the night...the next morning I went to put on my jewelry, and I couldn''t find the ring. I searched, and searched, and searched. It was completely gone. I was SO sad. For my birthday a couple years later, my dad surprised me by finding the double heart ring on Ebay. I think it''s probably a fake, but it was so sweet of my dad to get it for me because he could really care less about the meaning of a little blue box! The same birthday kinda resembled Dreamgirl''s Tiffany Christmas, haha. My mom and I also decided to get matching Elsa Peretti "C" necklaces since we share the same initial of our first names - so there were a few blue boxes opened.

The last piece of Tiffany jewelry that I received was the first gift my husband gave me after we were married. We went shopping on our honeymoon in Barbados and stopped in the Tiffany (if you can call it that - it''s kindof a weird setup, but IS listed on the website as a legit store!) in Bridgetown. He told me to pick something out and I chose the Atlas cube necklace.

So...that''s my Tiffany (and their stories) :)

Oh - wait - I forgot. My mom also gave me Tiffany''s Table Manners for Teens one time. Don''t laugh - I sometimes consult it if I''m headed to a formal dinner or want to set my table properly for company. :)

Here''s a collage of stock photos of my collection...I thought I had a real photo saved on my computer, but that must have been in last year''s photos (saved to the external drive).

MC, AGREED! When my mom first starting giving me Tiffany jewelry, the pieces were a little more expensive than what most of my friends were wearing, but not astronomically so. I want to say that the keychain was somewhere in the neighborhood of $30, and the necklaces were under $100...maybe $75 or 80? I suppose that was more than ten years ago, but today''s prices give me major sticker shock, esp when the same items haven''t changed. And, it bugs me to see young girls in Tiffany stuff with today''s prices, even though I was a pre-teen clad in Tiffany.

I haven''t posted in a while, but thought that I''d add a couple of my Tiffany pieces. My husband gave the the 18 ct gold bracelet for my birthday when we were dating. I left it at my parents'' before we moved to SE Asia, so I am not able to take a picture of it and Tiffany no longer carries it. So here''s a picture that I was able to find online.

The second one is a silver one that DH gave me this Christmas as a place holder, because I didn''t bring my gold one

my silver bracelet...I love it.

The first piece of tiffany...a sterling disc key ring i got on vacation in Hawii....They guessed i was in the jewelry trade and started to show me pieces that were not on display...saw an unforgettable huge black pearl strand and a few large diamond pieces that made the experiance very memorable.

My only Tiffany pieces are 2 silver bracelets, which I wear together. I got them both last year and LOVE them.

I agree about the sticker shock! My key chain was 40.00-45.00 8 years ago and now its $100.00....in 1998 my favorite bracelet was the hook and eye sterling/with 18kt.yellow accents and retailed for $130.00...today its around $285.00...way to much for sterling...

I have several items from Elsa Peretti that I received as gifts. I just love the designs. The only item I purchased for myself is the Elsa Peretti Open Heart Bracelet. My boyfriend gave me the set for Valentine''s and I lost the bracelet. I loved the set and had to replace it.

I also own a beautiful Schlumberger necklace that looks like the attached photo. I am unable to find it on the website.
