Thanks Daniela! I remember you posted a reply in my first thread that no matter what I do, pick the PM setting! I DID!

The PM ring I tried on was 18k white gold. I ended up getting my ring handmade in platinum because I went with larger stones and the original setting couldn't accomodate the stones I bought. I didn't realize till I picked up the ring that PM rings has a tiny diamond hammerset into the inside of the band too. Very nice!

I love the surprise diamonds too - I decided against using sapphires because the salesperson actually used a blue marker to color in the surprise diamonds on the original ring I tried on and I didn't like how it affected the overall *clean* look of the ring. I think 'surprise' sapphires will look better in a solitaire setting. Using 6 sapphires for my ring will make it a little *cluttered*.

My finger size is M - don't know what that translates to for US sizing. However, my fingers are really chubby
