As some of you might remember, my Fiance and I are having a firefighter theme wedding.

We are using red as the main color of our wedding.

Do you all think red and pink would be ok?
I really like pink but I don''t know if they would clash.

Would it be safer just to go with red and white?

I think it depends on the shade of red and pink - if you get them with similar undertones they can look fabulous together. Think cool reds with true pink but orange reds with more of a peachy pink. Honestly, I wouldn''t connect pink with firefighter. If you''re looking to tone down or broaden the theme, then pink may work. If you''re looking to unify it, white is probably an easier choice.

You are right, pink isn''t very firefighterish. I could do yellow and red, or black and red, but it doesn''t seem like they would be very pretty in flowers.

Humm..

I think red and pink can be beautiful! You could also do mainly red with touches of pink and maybe orange?

Like this bouquet but with less pink and more red? I LOVE this bouquet!

I agree with Sera--red and pink can look fine together, but I think another color incorporated in (like the orange) would look nice. Red and pink alone looks kind of monochromatic, but not quite, so it seems a little off. Since you''re getting married in June, you can work with any of the brighter colors.

I''d steer away from red and white. Reds and creams or reds and whites together come off as Christmasy when paired together. Great for a winter wedding, but maybe not quite what you''re going for in the summer.

Very nice pictures! You ladies have a skill for finding them.

Could you do red, pink and maybe yellow?

I think orange would be a better colour to pair with red, than pink. Pink is kind of girly.

Orange is the colour of flames!

I think that a scarlet red and sunset orange colour scheme would be beautiful.

less girl, more firefighter... I L-O-V-E LOVE circus roses... this bouquet has a feeling of fire with the circus roses and those wavy flame shape things. I don''t like the leaves, but maybe it''s just the lighting. (The photo is too large to paste here and my photo editing software isn''t working right now.)

A close up pic of, I believe, the circus roses.

hmmm...red and white i think is more a wintery color scheme. but reds and pinks can definitly go well together, espcially in flowers. the pics posted already show that. I know I''ve seen some other really fantastic red and pink schemes. you just need to find the right shades, cause sometimes doing a colors scheme in shades and hues is really classy. :D I see if I can find some more photos.

I couldn''t find much with just red, pink and yellow...

Wow!! What a fun idea. Won''t you share your vision with us? What are other ways of incorporating this firefighter theme into a wedding?

Geeze...just wanted you to know I am not going to be sleeping tonight. Will probably be brain storming. Ughhh this forum!!

I don't mind red and pink together, but it SCREAMS Valentine's Day to me... so I would definitely try to incorporate some orange or yellow into it as well, to keep things "fresh"... or maybe just do pinks and reds but NO roses? Hmmm... maybe I'm just traumatized because my dad owns a string of Hallmark stores and the required red/white/pink Valentine's theme each year always gets a bit overwhelming.

I really like the idea of red and orange, as some of the other posters mentioned!

I totally agree that the pink and red roses look very Valentine''s-ish especially with those traditional V-Day rose colors... it was the least fav of the ones I posted.

I like the other shades of red and pink together but my favorite has to be the flame colors for the theme. I think a touch of deep, reddish pink could be added while still retaining a firefighter theme if pink is something she is really set on.
