Good morning!

I love the pictures! The panoramic views are amazing. I''m not sure I understand correctly though -- why is the cost so low?
I''d personally choose either a spring or an early summer, daytime wedding. August tends to be so hot and humid and there always seems to be more thunder storms in August than ealier in the summer (at least in my area in New England). An evening wedding would be nice, maybe sunset, but after that, you won''t really be able to see the view you chose. Ya know?

they offer packages that fit everyone''s budget

they even have a winter package jan feb where it''s only $65 pp

These prices to not include the tax, but include the gratuity and matradie (sp?) is extra $300

The grounds look gorgeous. I''ve never been there but I''m pretty sure it would be on my list of considerations, just judging from the pictures on the link. Very pretty!

Looks pretty! And the prices are reasonable. I''d go for a Saturday day if it''s available, just cause I think it''s more convenient for guests in general. Did you go check it out yet?

Wowee that place is gorgeous! I might do April, May, or June anyway, since it could be pretty hot/muggy in August. But if you're set on August, there's no way you'd consider a Saturday day or Sunday day wedding?

Actually I''m thinking maybe August is a bad idea, it''ll be very humid, especially if we decide to have the ceremony outside. Mid to Late May seems better, but that means there will be less time for me to save for the wedding since I will have to contribute money.

I think this place is very reasonable and beautiful for the money, I can''t find anything for $80 plus tax.

Hi MustangFan!
I would suggest calling the Mill ASAP. We had considered it for our September ''07 wedding & by September ''06, they did not have one Saturday available until April ''08. Since it''s so affordable, it books FAST.

It''s a nice place - the room capacity is said to be 200ish, but I don''t think I would put more than 130-150 in there. I think I remember your mentioning that your wedding will be smaller, so you don''t have that concern! The atrium is really pretty and for the money, the menu is very impressive. We had lunch there one day, and everything was good! There are tons of positive reviews on the Knot - so I definitely think it''s a good choice.

The outside area is really nice. I would suggest going there around this time frame to see what the foliage is like. We unfortunately visited in the winter & everything was dormant!

I''d have to say one of the biggest plus''s though is it''s only 1 mile from the beach!

Good luck!

That''s like... 15-20 minutes from my house. I love Spring Lake (terrible bridal store there though). Looks lovely. I would prefer a fall or spring wedding. The weather by the shore is much more temperate than up north or farther east. Fall is SO beautiful there with the Simpson sky. I would probably pick an mid-october date or mid may date.

I am a point pleasant native, so I know jersey "beach" weather

It not possible to have it in October, September these months are considered peak time now with the trend in fall weddings. and the price pp is 125+!

I'm leaning toward mid May, but my Godmother will not be able to make it nor my two friends in England if I have it in May.

What do I do??!?!?

How funny! We lived in Brick (still own a house there).

Then you definitely know the weather ( I didn''t know you were a shore native)... um. If you get a chance visit Red''s Lobster Pot for me when it opens! I miss that place!

Your grandma and friends can''t make it anytime in May? Oh. REALLY early June?

Reds was one of our first dates, FI and I!!
Yes will do.... lol Where do you live now?

I''m thinking August 30, 2008 closer to September but still off peak price.

CA we moved out here for my job at the beginning of the year.

Reds is a great place for a first date! I miss LOBSTER! It's so expensive out here. Fortunately there's a ton of affordable crab out here to make up for it!

August 30th is good. Really close to September but still affordable. It will be warm... but I think you'll be okay. Sounds like a good plan, honestly!
