What size would be good for me for everyday, do you think? These are .80 ctw ACAs and I love them, but I’d like to go bigger hopefully next year.
Agree with @distracts in that the size of e-ring is less important than the way the stone looks on the ear. You could easily have 2ctw in your ears.
I think best size for studs correlates to earlobe size and piercing placement, not engagement ring stone size.
Yeah, my guess looking at the pic was I'd go up 2mm from whatever that current size is, which I think would be 1 ct per ear.
I was going to say the exact same thing. I think it’s more important that they work for the size of your ear not the size of your ring. Some people think size should progress from earring to pendant to ER but I don’t hold that opinion.
To stay with a “balanced” look? The e-ring stone is a cushion which I believe face up a bit smaller than rounds, if that influences your answer. Studs would be ACAs. I know there’s no right or wrong, but I’m curious to hear some thoughts.
No correlation, imo.
In our circles and jobs, e-ring size is a proxy for engagement age -- not for present taste, income, net worth, etc. So everyone who got married in their 20s or early 30s would have a pretty modest "ceiling" on all future diamond purchases . Then again, maybe that's not a bad thing...
Don't listen to me because I know nothing about diamond sizes for ear lobes, and have never worn an earring.
But just looking at the pic you posted I'd guess a diamond twice the diameter of the ACA in your pic would look good.
I have no idea what the carat weight would be though.
I agree with the others who posted they'd pay no attention to the size of your e-ring stone.
If you like matching, do that.
If you dislike matching, then don't do that.
No correlation, imo.
