The big problem is NONE of the Arab countries will take them in and will never take them in for reasons I cannot discuss here but know that there are good reasons. That is a fact. So where will they go?

Of course not.

Under Scottish law, your holding a knife to my throat would be considered an act of violence and would be chargeable as assault. Making a verbal statement as part of a negotiation tactic is not an act of violence, it doesn't cause immediate physical trauma, dramatic eye-rolling maybe, but I don't believe the two situations are comparable.

I am sick of the back and forth and posting this garbage on purpose. It's a time for everyone to be trying to unify and be peaceful. This is the current administration so try to be positive and hopeful.

I understand the administration is polarizing but there is no reason to attack people's beliefs. Posting here does NOTHING but upset people. If you want to make a difference get involved. Write letters, make phone calls, donate 50% of your money, house displaced people in your home, join the red cross, put action behind your words.

Posting threads like this does NOTHING to unify people. If you want to post an educational post on the history of the conflict and educate people, GREAT! I spent hours educating myself on the history of this conflict last year to make sure I understand and can make an educated stand on whats right.

If you want to post about what tariffs are and how they work and have an understanding of world economy, GREAT!

Some people have been personally experiencing a lot of antisemitism though NOTHING they have done, the pain of this is great, so i ask myself, why are people posting this to purposefully cause their family pain??

Israel is the victor in the war. Hamas is destroyed which was the goal so I doubt Israel wants Hamas to rebuild Gaza. The Palestinians have nothing with which to rebuild. The people who elected our current president didn't want us in Afghanistan, don't want us involved in Ukraine so I see no reason why they would be pleased about us being involved in "taking over" Gaza.

The result of the current administration is because the voters aren't woke. Because they aren't woke, they re-elected a convicted felon and sexual abuser.

Because they aren't woke, the LBGTQ+ community members are again under attack, fearing for their lives, denied medical care, and told they don't exist (because there are only 2 sexes) with the mere swipe of a sharpie on an EO.

Because they aren't woke, women are denied medical care and die because they're pregnant.

Because they aren't woke, we now bear an uncomfortable similarity to a fascist country run by a dictator who has his own version of the gestapo in DOGE who is carrying out the retribution that the administration said it would enact on its "enemies" -- the FBI, the CIA, the DOJ, and civil servants.

Because they aren't woke, they don't realize that the actions taken thus far are violations of the Constitution and federal law.

You know, can we just agree that whats happening is wrong. Because it is wrong. US Occupation, even at invitation is wrong.

Reality: Palestine put trust in Hamas because they feel they had to. The other reality is Hamas has been kicked out of every Arab nation on purpose because of who they are and what they do.

My feeling is this is why Arab nations are saying thanks but no thanks because they do not want Hamas back in their countries.

Long before this administration in the US with their rather bizare and lopsided policies, it was said in previous administrations that the US would remain friendly with Israel and would help to broker peace in the region.

The unfortunate truth is in November some hedged bets on R and lost. They thought R would be more merciful for some reason, even though R said exactly what they will do and are doing it. They're finding that R does not care and that they are just DEI to R.

The US has been used as the world's policeman. We should not be used as the worlds policeman and should remain neutral, helping hand sure as previous administrations had been to help broker peace sure. The problem is that its only dependent to who's leads the country.

This is why we're so topsy turvy and can't figure out how to sustain a balanced stable financially secure nation. Every new administration can come in and revoke any policy regardless of whether the policy was good or bad. Shouldn't there be some method of evaluating whether policies are working or not and if they are, shouldn't they remain until they no longer work. Tearing it all down and rebuilding it every 4 or 8 years based on ideology rather than practicality doesn't make sense (to me).

I, for one, am glad we can have a discussion here. We'll not get anything "settled," but many of us have been here so long, it's like a place we can safely talk to friends.
It does seem that there are forces trying to get us all to fight amongst ourselves.
