Thoughts on a larger (3ct) round brilliant, N color with strong blue florescence. Would like to hear thoughts...

I am contemplating buying a stone from a dealer around 3 ct but it is N color with strong blue florescence. It is VS1 with good symmetry and polish. Would love to hear any opinions on the color for the right price.

It completely depends on cut. If its poorly cut then no one here would be likely to recommend it. If it's well cut then maybe, but we would need to see the certificate, and preferably pics/video to help

@chihuahuagirl - love your user name. Chihuahua's are special dogs and one has stolen my heart.

You will get great advice regarding the cut of the diamond you are considering if you post the specifications. Color is truly a matter of choice. Strong blue flour can make a diamond appear a bit whiter and that too is a preference.

Are you looking to see if the price of the diamond is reasonable for the cut, color and clarity? If so- we have experts here who can easily tell you once you post the specifications and hopefully a reputable lab report.

Good Good is Bad Bad

I love N color stones and strong blue is a real bonus unless its one of the rare over blues that look milky/oily, it is personal preference. To be honest I would not mind an over blue but the price would have to be right.
From the info given so far cant tell you anything else about it.

"Good" symmetry and polish is a huge red flag -- unless this is an antique diamond? If it's a modem round brilliant, it will be a disappointment, N or not. Otherwise, you'll need to know your own tolerance for color. You can definitely save some money going down in clarity, VS1 is overkill if you want the most diamond for your money. But I can't get over G/G -- very suspicious that that is what's going to torpedo this stone.

@Garry H (Cut Nut) your post wont quote but yea good/good is not a good sign and I missed it in the first post.
Its not always a sign to stay away but it can be..more info needed.
