Although this is my first time posting, I have been reading the posting for a few weeks - thanks for everyone''s help. Today, I purchased the following diamond and have a few days to return if I''d like (although don''t see any reason to).

Emerald Cut, 1.57 carat, F, VVS2
Table: 62%
Depth: 63.5%
Crown Ht: 13.1% (per Sarin report)
L/W: 1.41
Girdle: Med to Slightly Thick
Culet: None
Polish: Excellent
Symm: Very Good
Flour: None

I bought it online and had it shipped to a local appraiser to look it and really was impressed. For $10,075 I thought this was a great stone and a reasonable price (as did the appraiser) - thoughts? any thing else I should be looking for?

SIDE STONES / SETTING:
Now that I have the diamond, I am looking to set it in a three -stone setting with two other emerald cuts. I haven''t yet purchased the other two, but would like some thoughts. I am looking for something simple, yet elegant. I''ve seen the DVatche design which I like (not sure I can put my own side stones in of similar color/clarity, which would be a deal breaker) as well as the FlushFit settings. I guess I hvae two questions:

1) Any other suggestions on simple, yet elegant settings in which I can provide all three diamonds to be set?

2) In terms of sidestones, what are your thoughts on more squarish sidestones so as not to distract from the main stone? Or, should I stick to something with similar dimensions as the main stone?

Sorry for all of the questions, but any help is much appreciated... Thanks again!!!

It sounds really lovely!! Have you thought about trapazoid sidestone? I love how they end up completely 'wrapping' the finger.
