Looking to buy this diamond, and would like to know what pricescopers think based on its stats. Nice, or just so so....?

1.75 carat Round 7.58-7.64×4.75mm (does the length/width seem short for the carat weight?)
Color I
SI2
Cut Very Good
Depth 62.3%
Table 59%
Crown angle 37
Crown height 15.5%
Pavilion angle 40.2
Pavilion height 42%
SL 50%
LH 80%
Thin - slightly thc, faceted 4.5% (what does this percentage stand for anyway?)
Polish excellent
Symmetry very good
Crystal, cloud, indented natural

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Don't go below a 40.4 pavilion angle unless you know for sure you like that kind of look.

Run, Forrest, run!

Hmmmm. Ok. So, sounds like it's not a very good stone. What "look" is being referred too? I don't have much knowledge on the intricacies of stones, so don't really know what this pavilion angle will effect with the look? According to the HCA tool, unless I input incorrect, this stone is a 2 or very good buy at the right price.

Sometimes, it isn't as bright as a deeper pavilion angle.

Do you have a picture? have you seen it?

I don't have a picture. :( I did see the diamond, and it looked pretty. I even compared it to other diamonds and sorrt of did a "blind test" where I chose my favorites based on sight alone, unbiased by the stats. And, it was in my top 3. So, now I need to eliminate, but for the most all 3 looked pretty good visually, mostly a matter of size. This is the largest of the 3, and I liked how much "finger coverage" it had. But, before I dive in, I'd like to have dotted my I's and crossed my T's.

That's the thing about round diamonds... even "very good" cut ones can be darn sparkly.

You should check it out in full sun, to see if the inclusions bother you there. Sometimes SI2s look hazy/sleepy or the inclusions are more evident.

Also check it out in office and diffuse sunlight for brightness.

Are the other two top choices GIA EX with HCA under 2? If you still like this one the best out of all of them, that is ok, just want to make sure you aren't comparing 3 dodgy ones against each other.

Thanks JulieN. All 3 are GIA. One was a bit smaller, better color but around the same price. The other was a indeed a better diamond based on the stats, but it was obviously more. And, the visual difference was pretty minimal, esp when the diamonds were not side by side. I did not take it outside, so that might be a smart step to take before deciding.
