Thoughts on this pre-loved LM (Cushion experts pls help)

Hey y'all,

So my current e-ring is a double halo VC ring ( L color). I am not color sensitive but having 2 halos bothers me a lil bit ( I am writing in my southern twang btw). Plus it is too big and it has already been sized down once. I do love it, it gets so many compliments but mama wants more bling and this time with one halo.

My husband has given me the green light to buy another ring. What do yall think of this? He suggested this one. This would be my last e-ring, I would shut down PS forever LOL. I would no longer spend hours looking up bling on IG. Ugh, the thought of a new ring is so intoxicating, looking at my hands, picturing the new ring, the thrill of it all! I have also never considered buying a preloved ring before but I do love some LM!

Basically my question is:

what are your thoughts on this ring?what about the specs of the diamond? Give me your honest thoughts.

I think its really pretty and obviously well made. How does the overall size compare to what you have and will you be happy
with the change?

Can you post pictures of your current ring so we can see where you are coming from?

Obligatory not an expert opinion

If you are happy with the face up size for the carat weight -
((The crown height is to die for))
I will say the facet pattern on this stone compared to some LM TrueAntique stones, I really really like the look of.

Have you asked if any of the pave needs work to secure or replace? Especially at bottom of shank? May not be a dealbreaker if work needs to be done - but it would be good to know in advance.

As already said previously, knowing what your current ring is helps with giving opinion. Especially since you want something ‘final’ and different for a specific reason.

But I’ll be honest - I’d be tempted to ask the vendor if the ring was cleaned very well before those glamour shots were taken.

why not just ask Grace to get the dimensions across the top of the ring for you to compare with current ring?

I don’t know anything about cushion cuts and what the best proportions should be but that ring looks gorgeous! Good luck!!!

I think it is a gorgeous ring! My only thought is it might not feel as "big" on your hand because you are used to the finger coverage of the double halo. It might be a good idea to ask Grace what the total dimensions of the LM are so you can compare it to your current ring.

The GIA shows the VS2 grade setting inclusion as a cloud dead center in the stone. Either that cloud reflects everywhere or that stone is dirty.

I’d ask the vendor about it, but I tend to think that stones are cleaned before images are taken and that the diamond is going to look a tiny hazy/less crisp due to that reflecting cloud.

In a stone that size, it would drive me nuts but some people wouldn’t mind a bit. You’ll have to decide if it would bother you.

Remember that zoomed images make it look worse than it will on your hand, but still… it’s a factor to consider.

Yes I agree. I did reach out to Grace but I think they are closed on the weekends. So now I think I will go with an ACA.
