The stone appears too trnasparent for SI1. Also, it may end up too dark IRL. I would check with toolhaus.org - most negatives mention color being misrepresented. While Stuller is nto the most expensive setting, it is not cheap either so I'd not spend my $$ - if you want a nice setting, you want a nice stone for it. JMO

I have ordered a few things from this ebay seller recently and they were pretty good as far as the color goes. I will say though that I was thinking the same thing regarding the transparency. It does appear to be pretty clean for SI1.

I ordered a AAA Kashmir sapphire for VERY inexpensive and it's color was not what was pictured (it wasn't a zoned and it wasn't as saturated, but still a beautiful color), but still beautiful and it has a nice line of silk running through it - which normally I wouldn't like, but in this stone, It gives it character. (photos to come after I get the rest of my oustanding stones - huge photo session to be had)

I just fell in love with that setting - and even tried to register for stuller, but because i'm not "in the business" I couldn't register.

I welcome and value your opinion.

I'm afraid I can't disregard the seller because (a) I know from bitter experience that his videos and photos DO NOT match the gemstones and (b) if you look at his recent deplorable posts you'll know why I, personally, would NEVER buy from or recommend this seller to anybody.

The stone is very shallow, will probably be windowed. I'd bet on a lot of extinction as well.

total noob question..."extinction"?

Thank you for your honest and valued opinions. Maybe I've just gotten lucky then with the stone's i've received?

I suspect a lot of extinction. The stone is tilted in the photo slightly.

I’m afraid to say this but here’s my caution:
1. The picture looks photoshopped.
2. Huge window in the middle (50% of stone), hence the extremely shallowness
3. What is the proof to back up that the stone is 100% untreated?

ok ok ok i get it...not a good ruby!....
