Three stone OEC ring, victorian replica OWD/DK

The pictures aren't fair because I have a blue shirt on and a teal phone case!

Wow! It’s beautiful!

Turned out fab!

It's beautiful, absolutely love it! I love the defined basket for each stone, the yellow gold, the perfect teeny tiny 8 prongs and the diamond of course

Beautiful! That profile view is breathtaking! Enjoy, it looks fantastic on you!

I bought and returned a pair of sides from Ivy and Rose
Easy to deal with and they were very nice.
I also bought and returned a center from JBG. There was some communication snafu, but to be fair it was between Christmas and New Years. I asked for comparison between two stones and was only replied that one had sold. No mention of the other. I had to chase back to ask again for the other. Asked for handshots, because none was on her site. Only additional shots I received were variations of what she already had on side- but to be fair she did say she had some problems attaching from where she was. I never received any handshots, but purchased anyways.
Lesson learned. The facet pattern evident on the upclose shots was never perceptible in real life!
She's nice and pleasant to deal with and the return transaction was smooth.

So yummy and luscious and beautiful! I love those proportions and it looks perfect on your hand!

All three stones are from OWD.
Remember reading on here 'trust but verify' from anyone regarding PS approved vendors? Believe it.
The original stone I received from him had an open canyon running across the top. I was advised it had no surface reaching anything. It was an SI3. EGL.
I posted about it here:

It's since been posted on his Instagram as one to 'not be afraid of all SI2's as they can be great!' Or something like that.
Adam is great. And polite. And easy to deal with.
But- he constantly blew by his own imposed deadlines. He didn't need to say I'll call you xxx, this will be done by xxx, I'll email you back tonight, it will be xxx days ....on and on. But he did. And then he didn't. Maybe it's different with the folks who spend tens of thousands of dollars with him? I dunno.
Trust but verify.

Stunning! :kiss2:

It is gorgeous! Those crowns in gold - swoon!!!!:love::love:

Thud! Gorgeous, chunkalicious and TDF amazing.

David and Amy as usual were great and easy to deal with. I panicked actually, because Adam sent the trio to them sooner than we agreed. The stones arrived before I could get a hold of anyone at DK, but of course it all worked out.
Full disclosure- the prongs are actually a bit rough and are snagging a lot so it will be going back for a quick tweak.
But I love it!

Gorgeous ring with perfect proportions! Did you initially work on a ring with OWD and switched to DK? I’m sorry the prongs are not perfect, I hope it’s a quick fix!

Oh my goodness! Your ring is gorgeous! Love it ❤️❤️❤️

It is stunning! Do you plan to wear it solo or with a band(s)?

Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. I’ve been anxiously awaiting hand shots, and they don’t disappoint! :kiss2:

Thank you all!

Thank you!
Jury is out! I'd love to stack, my short real estate may prevent anything too glamorous tho.

Looks gorgeous - glad it all worked out for you!

Thank you! I got liucky with the proportions, to be real.
Yep. The original inspiration ring I shared with Adam was what I really wanted, but we decided to riff off of his crown design all in 18k. Initially Adam said they would tweak it to my liking - but it very soon became evident they were unwilling to at all. Unwilling to tuck the sidestones in any was the deal breaker for me.
But really I'm a pushover. I wouldn't have said anything. I was being told it would look just like my inspiration pic. That the CADs weren't exact, just representative. Then I would be told it'd look just like the cad, that it would be set only one way. I was willing to just trust Adam. I approved.
Then I asked to confirm the previously agreed upon thickness of the shank and the cost of the ring. Well- the $1500-1800 range price I was given, was raised to $1700-2000. And the shank measurement had decreased.
I figured at the best of it, this was a huge communication issue. At the worst of it I was a PITA and I was going to pay the PITA tax!
I wasn't completely comfortable with the range of price for the quote in order to proceed in the beginning of all this, but rolled with it. With now the possibility of it being $2k I felt that I may as well get the exact ring I wanted initially - and heck - that was within a very small amount to the range of a CVB's Maria cost, that's essentially a repro of the same ring as my inspo.
Which leads me to - mine is a lower end quality center. They aren't perfectly matched in color, nor crown/table. I didn't feel comfortable spending that on them. I don't see these type included stones being set by her. And to be frank - I figured id be mocked. Unfounded? Maybe. Maybe not.
If I spent on a truly glorious high report stone trio - I would have done it with her.
For sure.
DK quote came in at half of that.
And yes - will be a easy quick fix!

Your ring is gorgeous! The profile shot is yummy and the proportions look beautiful on your finger. Thank you for sharing your experience with each vendor. It is helpful in determining who may be the best fit for future projects.

Absolutely stunning! The proportions of your stones are perfection!

This is so lovely!

Thank you for sharing your journey to get here, it is not for the faint of heart and you did an amazing job and made great choices.

I would love more pics. I desire a three stone one day- maybe a colored-stone center-and this is a real beauty- the stones are really lovely!!!

It’s beyond gorgeous!!!!!!!! Thank you for all the time you are taking to review too!

It turned out beautifully and I love the profile!

Rfisher, reading this makes me feel lucky to have found DK and worked with him on several projects! Even when going though several CAD changes, I’ve always felt like he gets to exactly what I have in mind even I’m not communicating it precisely. I’m so glad you got exactly the ring you envisioned!
