Hi friends,

I'm looking for a three or five stone diamond ring to gift to my mom.

Last year, I was able to find the perfect ring to gift to her as it was her first diamond ring; sadly, she lost the ring in a bad turn of events.

Context:

I'm pretty devastated. Last year in a cleaning rampage, we donated coats and a bunch of old things in the house that we thought was junk. A week later, we realized that my mom had left the ring in one of the coats!!!!

I tried to hunt it down but the ring is truly lost. I hope whoever finds the coat really appreciates the ring.

My mom is not as upset as I am but I've been trying to find a replacement three or 5 stone for months without any luck.

If anyone has a 3 or 5 stone they'd like to sell , please let me know. It doesn't even have to be antique or a similar style to the one she lost. She wears a 5.5 to 6 US size (and I don't mind buying a bigger ring size that can be sized down as long as it's the right one for her).

Posting here in preloved to try my luck!

Oh no, @reirei!! I remember your post very well where you wanted to surprise your mom with this 3 stone ring. I’m SO sorry the ring was lost.

I don’t have any such ring to sell but I will keep an eye out for you.
Meanwhile, hang in there. Something will come up.

I’m so sorry to hear your mom lost her beautiful ring @reirei :(sad
What is your budget? I’m going to post a few I have come across or have saved.

I can’t find 2 five stone rings I’ve seen recently but I’ll keep looking and post when/if I do.

I’m selling a 5 stone in platinum it’s on LT already but idk if it’s the style you are looking for because it’s not old cuts.

I’m so sorry about what happened to your mom’s ring. My mom lost her diamond my dad gave her - we never found it either. I still think about it.

@ac117 This is so nice and caring! Thanks for posting your beauties and finds.

I think my mom would like a ring
- with substantial center that is larger than the other stones (at least 6mm?) to give her US size 5.75 finger coverage. Not firm on the center diamond size as long as it’s the right ring for her. Can be smaller to accommodate for a five stone!
- high in color (i or higher)
- vs2 or higher in clarity
- 5.5 to 6 in size (also can be larger in size as long as it can be resized to fit her 5.75 finger)
- I know it’s not a huge budget but I would like to stay under 2.5k (original lost ring was a great find at 2k)
- can be old cuts or modern cut as long as it’s well cut and sparkly
- I’m willing to wait for the right ring to show up as I’ve been searching for a few months now

@maita13 hello! I remember you from the original post as your kind comment made me very tearful! <3 Thank you for your support and help!

@Mreader I did see your lovely ring but I don’t think that is her style. Thank you for the option!

I don't know if you would consider an IG seller but Dolly from @xothebijouxbox has a suite of stones for sale 1.70 ctw for 2500 and she has a bench. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKDYzCLFa4f/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link (top right of videos; last page has the pricing). She also seems to be a super sweet person; I bet if you told her your story she'd give you a deal on setting these :)

Here are the 2 five stones I was looking for. I’ll keep you in mind if I come across anything else!

Hi, @reirei! Came across the listings above on Ruby Lane.
I think the very last listing is promising, price-wise.
Hope your search is fruitful and do let us know how your mom is doing. Hugs to you both❤️

@maita13 you are the best! This is really above and beyond. Thank you for the search! That last one is great in price but not quite right in diamond color or style for her. Again, thank you so much - that was a lot of work and I appreciate you and your kindness.

I don’t know if your mom would be open to a 4 stone ring but I’ve heard only good things about this IG seller. Maybe she has a 3 or 5 stone she’s not listed yet? Or can help you source one?
In any case, here’s the 4 stone on her IG:

Im afraid all i can do to help is send well wishes over the sea

I was devistated to learn about the coat thing, (i hate to think how you must have felt)
i enjoyed your thread last time so much looking for the perfect ring for your mom
fingers crossed you find another great find asap

@reirei - do you have pics of rings that have come close to what you're looking for but just wasn't quite right? I can help shop around for you on my lunch breaks this week :)

@reirei I am so sorry to hear about the lost ring. I went back to read your original thread and it was such a lovely piece.

I wasn't looking to sell my 18k antique 5-stone, but I have so many pieces that it doesn't get as much wear as it deserves. And if it can help to serve as the replacement to the missing ring, all the better. I had purchased it from Jewels by Grace and have always loved the beautiful facets across all of the stones, especially the center.

I dug up a couple of photos from my phone; the bottom pic may give you a slight idea of the gallery - it's ornate and nicely done.

If you think this may fit your mother's style, let's talk. My contact info is on LT under the same user name.

That is so nice of you all to hunt for this offer! The generosity of PSers never ceases to amaze :kiss2:

Hi @AnastasiaBeaverhausen ! Thanks for thinking of me - that is really sweet! I still haven't found one but did reach out to @stonewell on pricing for her beautiful 5 stone.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful lunar new year and the new year brings peace, happiness, and prosperity!

Thank you for coming back to give us an update! Hope you find "the one" soon. Happy LNY to you too!
