No, this isn''t yet another thread of someone who''s down on Tiffany....

I just read on Wikipedia.com that the "Tiffany Blue" color is PMS 1837 - the same year the first Tiffany store opened in New York.

Thought it was an interesting bit of trivia worth sharing.

Cool threads posted here. Besides the blue box color they put everything in, I always felt that their pictures always had a slight blue hue. Their diamonds always looked a little blue to me...very pretty sales technique.
 
Hilariously, the first time I heard of 'tiffany blue' was from a quote from an, um, esthetician who said the latest rage was girls coming in to, er, get waxed and uh, leave only a single square that would then be dyed 'tiffany blue' as a visual demand for the real 'tiffany blue box', sparklie and proposal included.
