Hi all! Anyone had recent experience with Tiffany repair service? I sent them a ring back in early August for re-sizing, check prongs and possibly repair of the basket (seemed to be slightly indented from wedding band). The ring is STILL there and has now been delayed 3 times until October 6th. This ring was not purchased directly from them, which I did not tell them. Why are they holding it up?! Does it have to do with it being second hand? Is this going to cost me a ton of money?! I have yet to receive any kind of estimate etc. Picture attached when I had it on my pinky sharing bc she’s so pretty CC7F21E2-033E-4ACA-852B-0BBFD9F40358.jpeg

I sent in my ring for sizing back in july, and it took over 6 weeks to get it back. I think they are still playing catch up from when the repair dept was closed due to covid. But you should have recieved at least a quote by now. Did you get confirmation of receipt of the ring? Did you call customer service? They can give you the # for the service dept. and that dept. will give you an update. I have earrings and another ring to send in, but i think i will wait a while.
Good luck!!

Yep! Got the receipt confirmation back in august. I even asked what the price is they said there was no price listed. Do they do repairs for free on engagement rings? And yes I would wait because wow! It’s been there forever.

Sorry just saw the ring has been delayed.....and that also happened to me, twice. But you should know by now a cost. I will tell you that mine was very reasonable (and it was purchased second hand, as yours was), so fingers crossed yours will be too!! :)

They’ll tell you how much it will cost and require explicit consent regarding that cost before they begin work. In my experience their repair charges are extremely fair - I guess reasonable repair pricing is part of what the massive sales upcharge includes

Everything’s delayed right now unfortunately! I also had a Tiffany repair delayed a couple months ago.

Good to know!!! I’m just anxious to get it back, I barely got to wear it!!! :( I have talked to customer service 3 times. I am assuming there is no repair and just a sizing because I just got a confirmation email!

They should send you an email of what you asked to be done, and a cost. They dont start working on your ring until you comfirm that you are ok with the cost and enter your credit card info.

Omg so it’s been there for a month and a half and they haven’t even looked at it yet?!

I had to send them two rings earlier this year. They took several months to return them. It was easily 8-10 weeks.

I would call in the morning and ask the service dept. to give you a better time frame. I find the wait is a bit easier when you know when to expect the waiting to end. Maybe a call explaining how long its been will prompt them to move it up the line a bit too.

I'm sure it depends where you are but I know the actual bench that does work for our local store (probably one of). They are a 2 man show and have showed me the separate tool and platinum section only for use on Tiffany items. When they do Tiffany work they basically have to "clear the line" and not do other work so there is no cross contamination. I suspect there are supply chain shortages and labor issues as well. These guys have their own business to run so who knows how they prioritize their repair work, my projects have always been handled quickly.

Update— ring is magically on its way back after they told me October 6th as completion date. No cost to me either! Can’t wait to wear her on my right hand
