Tiffany Toi et Moi diamond ring identification

HI. New on the block. This was a ring inherited from my aunt who inherited it from an elderly friend who bought it for herself at Tiffany's NYC. My aunt was with her when she bought it so that is the authentication. I'm assuming it is a Toi et Moi ring. It is not a custom piece and was purchased as a hinged/bypass ring with the Tiffany hallmark on the hinge mechanism itself. Just looking for anyone who has any knowledge on it. I did have a GIA appraiser look at it.

I can't help but it is very interesting. If it were me, I'd take it to a Tiffany's B & M and ask them what they could tell me about it. It might also be interesting to them. Do you have any idea of the time frame as @MissGotRocks asked? Also, you don't mention what the appraiser that looked at it had to say?
