Wedding starts at 4, dinner isn''t scheduled until 7 (maybe even 7:30!), but that''s still up for debate.

I figure the ceremony will take 30 minutes. Then pictures afterward will be around 30 minutes or so as well.

That still leaves 2-2.5 hours between there ceremony and dinner.

HOWEVER, we''re getting married at Mandalay Bay, and the dinner is at either The Mirage or The Venetian. So traveling over there could take a while...

Even by taxi it could take a while because the traffic on the strip is so random, walking pretty much the length of the strip would take a good long time, or walking to the the monorail and walking from the monorail, etc.

So, knowing how much stuff there is going on all of the time in Vegas, is that too long? Thoughts?

No, I don't think it's too long at all - not in Vegas!! I don't know what you're wanting to do in terms of structure, do you want all the guests to do something together or everyone just re-convene for dinner?

It''s Vegas, I"m sure they have more than enough to see, even if it''s just oogling the casinos!

I think just reconvene. I''m guessing that we''ll probably want to spend a little bit of time together alone, and probably some extra photo time. I don''t care what everyone else is doing at that point! Lol.

Then maybe everyone can go to a show after dinner? I dunno. I figured it''s Vegas, so people can find stuff to do/look at...

I think Vegas is one of the few places where a gap is not a problem at all! There is so much to do, and I imagine most of your guests will have hotel rooms to go back to for some freshening up.

I wouldn''t sweat it at all. The timeline will be perfect for you to take some great photos between, too.

I agree with everyone that this is not a problem in Vegas!!!!

They can either do as you say and reconvene or start heading to the dinner...there is just a riduculous amount of things to do (Bellagio fountains, shopping at the Canal Shops or at Ceasar''s Palace, the aquarium at the Mandalay, etc.)...there''s sooooo much to do in Vegas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are perfectly fine!

Freke -- this is so not worth worrying about! Nobody''s going to be twiddling their thumbs!

Ok ok! I just wanted to make sure. I got all worried and stuff reading the other threads. I remember going to a friend''s wedding and then having 2 hours between. Luckily our house was in between ceremony site and reception site, but still...

I agree with everyone else..if there''s anywhere to have a gap, it''s Vegas!

It''ll be great, no worries!

I agree with others. In Vegas I wouldn''t worry about it too much-there is so much to see and do during the gap.

It''s Vegas!! The place where a time gap is a bonus!!!

I would not worry about the gap, im with everyone else. Vegas is the ONE place where its ok.
I went to a wedding there two summers ago and it was fine! dont fret! your schedule sounds great. really -

I think you''ll be good. There is so much to do and see in Vegas that the timing sounds like a good amount between the ceremony and the dinner.

Freke, I''m going to have to assume that no one will be irritated by a gap in Vegas. There''s pools, shopping, gambling, and sightseeing.

If I were a guest I might even request that the wedding be earlier so that we can party by the pool before the dinner!!

Lol Mere!

I feel better now. Kind of silly, but better.

Seriously, there couldn''t be a better place than Las Vegas to have a 2.5 hour gap! Your guests won''t even feel out of place with their attire. Please don''t worry about this one!
