Picked this up for right at $100 with shipping. Anyone bought gems from. him? I've wanted one of his for awhile but they are usually very big!
I love how they sparkle. Anyways picked up this tiny tourmaline. I also have a tiny marquise Alexandrite and I'm thinking of doing a cluster ring of sort with all of them.

here's the alexandrite and tourmaline in pics. I got it from multicolor. The color change on it is wonderful GIA actually called it red purple I think. I think its 3x6 mm. I've had it for maybe 6 months or so and not done anything with it. yet.

Tourmaline is around 3, just under I think.
I need a few other bright colors to pull it together eventually

I did not buy the yellow tourmaline only the blue. But seeing them together now with the alexandrite I think I need a yellow stone for this ring. Maybe a small chrysoberyl and perhaps a diamond or so.
thoughts?

I love his stuff! I once contacted him about commissioning him to cut a zircon but didn:t go ahead. I love his work.

Beautiful gems and an interesting combo.
Instead of a chryso+diamond, you could go with a small yellow diamond, if the budget allows. Princess cut would match the shape of the tourmaline if you'd need that for the design.

Thank you for the shape and offerings I will look. I feel like if I do yellow it still needs 1 more color in the setting perhaps... but what color? The Alexandrite provides quite a few but tbh since its so small I don't think it'll be all to noticeable. Maybe a tiny Paraiba tourmaline?

That yellow tourmaline!!!! It’s so perfect in every way.

You might have a clearer direction once you everything in hand, side by side.

Very pretty darker than I expected but for less than 100$

The hue and tonality of the tourmaline compliments the alexandrite
I think I’d like to put a round diamond on our right and a pear shaped diamond with the tip going in on the left

WYT?

I like the combination and a colorless diamond can always work
But I can't tell if a bright yellow stone, which would likely be a lighter tone than these two, would compliment the darker tones of the other 2 stones.
Maybe a warm hued stone with a cool modifier, like a purplish red/pink tourmaline.
Or a greenish yellow of similar tone to the alex/tourmaline.
I am absolutely not an expert with color matching.

I love his work, too. It's great to see one in a real-life setting! Due to the coloring of the Alexandrite, I would go with a bright green stone as an addition. Or, I'd add small bright green & bright yellow stones. Something to add pops of bright colors.
