Ok, well it''s Mother''s Day now, and though I don''t have any kids ( maybe later?), I have always had the names picked out!

Girl: Ashlyn Cait ( I would like to spell it the Irish way - Aislinn - but those here in America would always mispronounce it
16.gif

Boy: Christopher Matthew ( Matthew is my husband''s name)

Soooo..... brag about your kids!! What are their names ( no last names), ages, funny stories, etc.
36.gif

And to all the mother''s: Have a great day!!

AAHHH Man ... I had to find this one....

Ok... My 9 year olds name is Ashlyn Theresa. So is my baby girl. I call her Noodle. She plays soccer and was the youngest child to make it on a traveling team in this area. She is small and she is fast and she is gutsy. She has a soft heart, but she does not like anyone to know it. She is very proud of who she is and what she perceives her future to be. She makes straight A''s and is the Secretary of her SGA in school. She is just amazing. She loves me and I know that I could never live without her. She loves animals and wants to be a vet one day. She is just awesome. She is my Noodle.

My 6 year old is my Princess. She wants to be grown up sooo bad. She loves to dance and cheerlead. She gives lots of hugs and kisses and she is a true cuddle bug. She is a WHIZ at math and is doing really well with her reading too. She is a softie and just cannot understand why anyone would want to be mean to her or anyone else (I have considered taking out some contracts on children who were mean to m Princess.. JK..kinda) Her name is Tara Lee. As in Tar. Her nickname is Tar Baby... her favorite story has always been Uncle Remus''s Briar Rabbit and the Tar baby. She is my angel and I have no idea what I would do without her.

Here is a picture that she took when she cheered at a Pirates basketball game (she is the one on the left...LOL)

Mine, your girls are just beautiful, inside and out. Happy Mother''s Day!

I won''t post names b/c my husband is always afraid of sharing too much info on the internet, but I will tell you a little bit about them...

My daughter is 27 months old. She talks non-stop and is totally into the Little People. It is so cute to watch her play. She was a colicky baby and totally hyper until around 20 months when she started to simmer down. Her nickname is Jellybean (thus my user name). I love her so much. Her favorite phrase right now is "mommy, what''s this?" She''s a total cutie and so smart.

My son is about 14 months, thus the two of them are 13 months apart. He is a total character and has us laughing all the time. He is very stubborn and very smart for his age. He is all boy -- always getting into things, climbs on everything...and is a momma''s boy!
9.gif
He''s a cuddler and a total flirt! Whenever we go to a restaurant my husband or BIL winds up walking around with him b/c he can''t stay still in the highchair for more than a few minutes and the waitresses just flock to him -- he''s a total chic magnet and everyone says he will be a heartbreaker when he grows up.

Growing up....it makes me happy yet sad at the same time.

We would like another baby soon. I think if I''m out of baby mode too long it will be very hard to go back.

I could write about them all day!

This is Ryley...going a hundred miles an hour as usual. Everyone always comments on how he always has a smile on his face, and how enthusiastic he is about everything! He loves all animals, and has always just been the sweetest kid! He''ll make a great big brother, and we''re having IVF later this year to try to give him a little brother or sister...or both!

Mine, your kids are just the cutest...I''ve thought so in every picture you''ve posted of them here on PS.

Jellybean, your babies sound so darling and charming....it must be fun to have your daughter in the inquisitive phase!! Just watch out when she starts using the word "why?" I did that so much my dad started making things up...not good to find out 20 years later her was fibbing!!!

Tawn - What a speed demon you''ve got! All the best of luck making baby brother or sister (or both!)...fertile thoughts going out to you!!!!!!

Happy Mom''s day, Moms!!!

Here are my boys. . .

They're 4 1/2 and 2 3/4. . .both are very imaginative and creative and love to turn things they find into a toys. . .even Kirkland diaper wipe boxes
2.gif

They have tons of energy, so we usually spend most of our time outside riding bikes or playing at the park. We also read books and sing songs.

Oh my gosh, you all have such adorable children!!!
30.gif

MINE - ahhh! you have a girl named Ashlyn, my absolute favorite name!!
36.gif
They seem like such characters, looks like you have a tomboy and a girlie girl! Just wait a couple years when they''re teenagers
6.gif
Lots of fun!

Jellybean - man, you had yours close together!!
6.gif
My body would be so exhausted, I cannot even imagine! But they sound wonderful, I like how your screenname is your daughter''s nickname!

Tawn - Your son looks fantastic on that horse! Maybe we''ll see him in the Kentucky Derby someday?!
9.gif

Michelle - I''ve seen your boys in some other pictures and they are just getting cuter by the minute! You must be so proud (and tired to chase those two bundles of energy around!!)

Happy Mother''s Day!!!

Tawn~ WOW.. impressive! I wish you fertile LUCK!!!

Michelle~ You look like you have your hands full... but they are so worth it... ADORABLE!!

Happy Mother''s Day~

My 17 year old daughter, Erin, is absolutely brilliant. She is a junior in high school, is taking 5 AP classes, and has straight As. She has fallen in love with Calculus this year, and will probably major in either Math or Physics. She is so much like me, personality and interest-wise, but she isn''t limiting herself, like I did when I was her age. She is applying to Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Princeton and UCLA. I am SO proud of her and excited for her, because I know wherever she ends up and whatever she does, she will excel and continue to make me proud of her.

My 14 year old son Andrew, is the biggest sweetheart I know. He is so kind, thoughtful and sensitive. He is also incredibly generous. I wish I was like him! :) For my birthday, HE got up early and made me breakfast. When I told him how much I appreciated that, he has been getting up early and making me breakfast most days since then!

I am so very thankful for each of them, and feel so blessed to be their mother. They are both so wonderful, each in their own unique ways. I can''t imagine not having them. They are my world.

Here''s a pic of me with them:

Here''s one of my three. I don''t know where to start! My oldest Dylan is 7. He was the answer to my prayers. We''d been trying for years to get pregnant when he came along. He smart as a whip (reads at a 4th grade level) a math whiz, loves science, he''s kind, sensitive and always bright and bubbly-- he''s truly my sunshine in the morning.

Three years later we were blessed with our twins Liam and Olivia. They will be 5 this month. They were born at just shy of 29 weeks gestation. Liam weighed 2lbs14oz and my sweet Olivia was only 1lb15oz. I had been in the hospital since 24 weeks after my water broke. No one gave us any hope that they would survive. To everyone''s amazement they hung in there another 5 weeks and not only survived but had a relatively mild stay in the NICU. They spent 2 months in the hospital but came home with a clean bill of health. They are bright, healthy, and happy and will be starting kindergarten this fall. They were very strong but little tiny preemies and are still strong in body and mind to this day! My little Livvy is a lefty and loves to draw and color. Her twin brother Liam is my little mechanic- he loves to tinker and knows his cars.

My house is always loud, and it''s always a mess, but I wouldn''t have it any other way!!

Thanks for the opportunity, Irish Eyes.

Mine, Jellybean, PearCrazy, Mary Alaina & Michelle Carmen-- thanks for showing off your children. They all sound fantastic and are all beautiful! Tawn, I think my oldest daughter would like to hang out with Ryley (read on...).

Mary Connor is 6.5. Her personality is so much like mine it's amazing. She's very independent, is cautious by nature, has an incredible memory, loves nature of any kind, likes to try new foods (she eats her vegetables and likes ethnic restaurants). She began reading when she was 3. She's sensitive and caring. She's also a sassy one. And bossy.
3.gif
She rides horses (English) since last summer and is almost ready to start competing. She doesn't know this, but if she's still as enthusiastic at the end of the summer, she is going to get her own pony.
1.gif

Meredith is 4. She is my cuddly sweetheart. She is very, very daring and had three visits to the ER before the age of two (for stitches). She has a vivid imagination and likes to pretend she is someone else and stays "in character" for hours at a time. Her favorite Princess is Cinderella. She is very stubborn and doesn't take any *&#@ from anyone, including her bossy big sister. She is also extremely tender-hearted, especially with her baby brother. She is quite athletic and was just invited to join a special gymnastics class for those showing promise towards competition level. She'll be the youngest kid by almost two years.

Jay will be two later this month. His sisters call him "Jaybird" or "Birdy", which he likes. He doesn't say much but he is into everything! Last month, I was folding laundry and came out to find that he had used a butter knife (as a screwdriver) to remove the brass kickplate from my kitchen door in about five minutes. He also likes to rearrange all the books on the bookshelves. He loves to eat-- anything and everything-- but especially peach yogurt and carrot sticks witrh hummus.
25.gif
He can be very rough-- but somehow he manages to be extremely gentle with our pet hamster, Coco.

Here is a photo I took at Sea Island, GA (I was so amazed to get all three looking at the camera at once):

Everyone''s kids are just gorgeous!

Bluedawg -- my daughter loves peach yogert too. She is such a fussy eater! She will only eat certain brands -- and the peach yogert HAS to be the Stoneyfield Farms brand! She won''t even eat generic Cherrios!

My son, on the other hand, eats almost anything.

I have to share a funny story from today....my daughter loves going through my purse (I obviously take the dangerous stuff out first) and putting everything back in. My son was sitting on the floor next to her watching. I was unloading the dishwasher when I realized it was too quiet. I looked over (they were sitting about 10 feet from me) and saw that my daughter had taken my lipstick and drew all over her brother''s face and head! He must have liked it b/c he didn''t complain at all! My daughter said "see...pretty!" Apparently I had forgotten to take the lipstick out...It took 20 minutes in the tub to get it all off of him!

Pearcrazy, what a story!!
6.gif
I''m so glad that everything worked out ok and you have three beautiful "miracle" kids to show for it!!
36.gif

Bluedawg, I LOVE that picture of your kids! They look like child models!!
30.gif

Jellybean, I''ve done daycare work in the past and I know what you mean about them getting quiet!! Never a good sign, you know they are into something they shouldn''t be! Great story!

I hope you all had a wonderful day!!

What a bunch of gorgeous children everyone has and great pictures as well! Thanks for the compliments on my bareback speed child! I just love that picture because they are totally flying! Nothing is touching the ground....they are completely in the air! That was only about a month after he was ever even on a horse for the first time! Everyone was so amazed at what a complete natural rider that he was!

Of course, it just about gave me a heartattack to watch!! Ryley and I had a couple of really good races last year in WA...before we came back down to CA, and now we really miss the horses and riding. We''ll eventually retire to Maine to where the in-laws are...and we''ll probably get horses again. I just love to ride...

Bluedawg...I hope you have that pic framed! You could sell it it''s so precious!

Here Ryley is when he was born....he''s just about 10 days old! He was a month early, so he was pretty teeny! My husband just loves this picture!

You both look so beautiful and serene!

HI:

Wonderful pics everyone! Thanks for sharing!

cheers--Sharon

Oh Tawn that picture is fantastic!!!
30.gif
and look at the little grin on his face!!!
30.gif

The "infamous" gas grin....

It was pretty neat because I had a gift cerificate for an at home photo session, and the trick is that they only give you one picture and then you''re supposed to buy a bunch more. But, the photographer wanted to put the pic in his sample book, and I wasn''t really thrilled about it....so he gave me all the pictures for free! So, it worked out really well!

It''s amazing that he was so tiny and now he fits into my shoes! Goes by sooooo quickly!

Kaylagee,
Your son is just too cute!!! How old is he???

Thanks! He''ll be two in July. He''s incredibly high energy even for a toddler. Thank goodness he''s started to take interest in his little books and crayons. Sometimes that gives me a small break. I underestimated how tiring it would be to be pregnant with a toddler racing around. OTOH we didn''t want to tempt fate by ''spacing'' since I''ll be 35 in Nov. We also still have easy access to Leo''s infant things so, it''s not like starting from scratch again after waiting years. Even better in that way that the new baby is a boy too!

I am not trying to be a downer, but posting picutres of your children on the internet is very dangerous. Pedophiles can find out all sorts of things about you just by reading your other posts. Even in blogs and whatnot. In our child saftey lectures we were warned against this sort of thing over and over. PLease consider this before posting anymore. I am not trying to upset anyone but we must be aware that not everyone who is on the internet is here for nice purposes.

You know, my mom was saying the same thing the other day. I''l take this as a second warning. :/ i''ll ask Leonid to delete ds''s photos. Thanks Mat!

I made a point of putting pictures that nobody would be able to recognize him from! Plus, his father is rather a dangerous trained professional...and not someone that you would want to have any dealings with.

I finally have a cool pic to add to this thread. My kids are the greatest, they are such hams. My son just turned 3 and is so smart! He started talking at 8 months, and at 1 year, he knew all his colors and shapes. By 18 months he was talking like a 3 year old, and now that he is actually 3, he''s talking like a little adult. He was bumped up a class at his preschool already. He just turned 3, and can already read and spell easy words.

My daughter is very artistically gifted. She just turned 1, and can color like nobody''s business! She has coloring books totally filled. She also sings the chorus of several children''s favorites like Old McDonald and barks to How much is that doggie in the window. She is so musical, that as soon as she hears music she starts clapping or slapping her thighs to the beat. She also can''t control her body when there''s music, she has to shake her booty and jump up and down. She just turned 1. I have two May babies.

I love my kids, and I can''t imagine what they would have done without the other. They are literally stuck at the hips all the time. My daughter''s first words (in context) were Ge-Ge(chinese for big brother). She didn''t say mama or dada until recently!

THEY are adorable!!
