After about a month of online searching and emailing designers I finally decided to stop at a local jeweler today as BF is out of town. This place has been here since I was in high school many moons ago and I''ve never stopped in. I never will again

It was like being attacked by a vulture. She was all over me, walked behind the counter through the entire store while I browsed. She wanted all my info. and wanted to know exactly when I was coming back. I decided since I was already there I''d at least get sized and check out a few prices and see if I could find similar stuff online.

So, got my size in a narrow band and a thick band, it''s about 1/4 size difference which I would''ve never thought. I found a ring I''ve seen online before and didn''t think I''d like it but it''s STUNNING in person and looked good on my super chubby fingers.

I had thought about getting BF a watch as a wedding present so I checked out the watches and this girl would just not leave me alone. When I started looking at bracelets (lost mine last week) she was pushing me so hard to find one I liked. Guess she thought I would buy it right there but they had such a small selection.

I have to say, I am SO glad I found PS and am definitely going to get our jewelry online. I don''t think I can take another experience like that again.

I HATE pushy sales people more than anything! Especially if they ask if they can help you, you politely decline with ''Oh no thanks, I''m just looking'', and then they continue to stalk you around the store, lol! I mean, I appreciate being helped and all... but sometimes it''s just absurd.

That is very unfortunate, Katomm. Speaking as somebody who used to do corporate training for a large coffee company and has trained a lot of sales associates, it''s amazing how many folks don''t see a difference between "helping the customer" and "SMOTHERING the customer." Some companies put the importance of the sale above the importance of the customer''s comfort level.

Sometimes I can''t decide what''s worse, the store with the salespeople that won''t leave you alone, or the store with the salespeople that won''t help you at all!

I just got laid off from my last retail job because I refused to be like that- I hate it when sales people do it to me so why would I do it to someone else?

Anyway, I hope your next shopping expirience isn''t so horrible Katomm.
