Hey all!
I posted in the LIW forum the other day explaining that I was on my way to see my gf.... to propose! I also said I''d post pictures and details yesterday.... sorry.
Well, Ill copy her description of the proposal that she wrote for her facebook and toss up a few pictures
After four long months of Matt and I not seeing each other, Matt supposedly was scheduled to fly into town on Christmas Eve. However, he had different plans... For the 23rd Matt discreetly arranged for a friend to cover my swing shift and for my Mary Kay party to be rescheduled. The closer it got to Christmas the more anxious I became. On December 23rd, 2009, the day before Matt was suppose to arrive, around 2:45 pm he surprised me by having Kyha drop me off down by the river. I had a suspicion that Matt was up to something, but I wasn''t sure of what was to come. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot I first saw my car and then saw Matt standing behind a tree with three red roses in his hand. Before the car even stopped, I jumped out of the car and ran to him. I leaped into his arms and we hugged, kissed, and smiled at each other for about ten minutes before he became real serious. At this point I knew something was about to happen because he was wearing a tuxedo t-shirt, which for Matt is super formal. Matt began by saying, "Joy, I want you to know that I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. I''ve been doing some thinking and planning and I need to know just one thing. So do you think, ya know, if you''ll be busy for the rest of my life?" I was super ecstatic and could not stop squealing and squirming.
Appropriately, I said "Not too busy for you.." Then he got down on one knee, grabbed my hand, pulled out the ring, and said, "Joy Dawn, will you marry me?". I screamed out, "YES!" He slid the most perfect ring on my finger as I bent over and kissed him.
Needless to say, she SAID YES!!!!
I couldnt be more happy with either of my decisions, with the woman and the ring
Thank everyone on here for sharing their experiences and stories with me over the last few months, I look forward to lurking around and seeing all the newly engaged ps''rs this year!
