I'm trying to decide on this tourmaline. I detect extinction (right) and know this shade has serious black out issues. Do you think this will just go dark and I'll lose that beautiful green inside?

I can't seem to save this video, but this is a still under fluorescent lighting.)

Color is very subjective and changes drastically depending on the light source. Do you like both colors in the video/photo you posted?

What type of lighting will the stone be worn in most of the time? How does it look in that lighting? Do you like that look?

That tourmaline is way too dark.

Office lighting so inside, fluorescent. The photo is supposed to be in that light.

That tourmaline is way too dark.

Yeah, I kinda suspected. Shame I can't walk around with it backlit.

So the still photo is what you would see most of the time. Do you like that? For me it is too dark. But you will be the one wearing it.

Look at the hand pic and that is probably under really good lighting, the stone is way too dark IMHO...

That's a very dark stone. I think it will darken even more once set.

Thank you all. I got dazzled by the cut and backlighting. My journey to CS is slow but I really appreciate all the help and advice. Without it I would be the proud owner of a lot of stones sitting in a drawer.
