*Trade Question* Jewelers Board, JBT, worth it?

Title says it all, wondering if there is any reason for a smaller, outside US and mostly local, jewelry business to make an account on the jewelersboard.com site. If yes, would the membership be worth it? I noticed some companies have a JBT number field at sign up forms. Thank you

JBT is largely about verifying credit and bona-fides. Are you looking to sell your product into the US or purchase from suppliers in the US? Or both?

As John's question implies:
If you will be attempting to obtain credit from trade sources, the JBT is an essential first step. It might take a while to achieve a rating that will allow sellers to feel comfortable extending credit.....but that's one way to do it.

Thank you both for replies, i doubt i will need the premium then, but i will make a free account as i do business with one US company occasionally.
