Thanks, S! Bob is checking the ads for them. That''s interesting that yours is a Pro-Form. There is a model that is currently selling for half the MSRP. But I am betting we can find a used one. Thanks for the info!Date: 12/8/2007 10:29:52 PM

Okay ours is a Pro-Form. Their website is here. None of the model names are the same. But they have probably changed them. Ours looks like the ''CrossWalk 425'' (we have those funny arm things). I have no idea how old it is since we bought it used but like I said before we never have had any problems. Even new the prices seem fair. J used it almost everyday while I was preggo. He lost as much weight as I gained the stinkerAnyways I am like you, more money for diamonds if it isn''t spent on silly things to improve your healthI have a friend who bought her''s from the paper too (after we did) and got a great deal so I think they are common items in the classified ads.

Be careful with the pro-form. Thats what we had from sears. But that was years ago. We bought it in 1996 and got rid of it in 2005 when we got the precor. By then, the proform was very wobbly, it drove me nuts. I could never find where it was loose but the thing would wobble. Even after having sears out to fix it.
I did however use that thing to death. Through all 4 pregnancies I used it. So maybe I just wore it out. But especially if you buy second hand, check out he stability on it.
Oh, gosh, S! I just now saw this! I am away from home so I can''t access my address book, but I''ll be in touch after the holidays.Date: 12/12/2007 9:40:32 PM

DS, I can''t find your e-mail address. Drop me an e-mail when you get a chance.
Thanks for this link! I really used it to help us decide. We went with a mid-range model, the Nordic Track Commercial 1500 which was so highly recommended by treadmill Dr.Date: 12/18/2007 2:36:52 AM

You should expect to pay a minimum of $1500 for a decent treadmill. Avoid anything cheaper; it''s not worth your money if you plan on really using it. I have a Keys Fitness Ironman M4, I paid about $1700 four years ago, and it''s held up well to the combined 80+ miles per week my husband and I sometimes put it through.
Here''s a great link which can help you to determine your needs. http://www.treadmilldoctor.com/
