Treasure hunting in Paris

My American husband is in Paris this week and he is on the lookout for an antique Diamond ring or earrings for me. Either direct private sale or from a shop. Any tips for where he could look ? Anyone in Paris feel like selling anything ? Looking for over 1.5 carats, antique stone, shape is flexible, also flexible on color. Cut needs to be excellent. I love Art Deco but not narrowing the search to art deco only. Definitely looking to get a good value.

It sounds like you should be the one in Paris, not your husband (or at least you should be in Paris with your husband, shopping for jewelry and stuff, how can anyone say no?)
