Yeah, I know. I should have minded my own business. I couldn't help it. Some guy was bidding 15,500 on a 1.7 J Vs1.
I sent him an email nicey saying maybe he would want to check out pricescope and showed him an ex of a whiteflash H&A 1.6+ vs1 for 10,000.00

The guy emailed me back lecturing me that you can't judge a stone alone by color and clarity. REALLY?

Yet he didn't know what a hearts and arrows was.

Sheeeesssh.

BUT, I should have minded my own business. Couldn't help it

Can anyone make out the depth and mm? i think it's a 60/60? But doesn't look that bad in the $25,500.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL appraisal photo

LOL, I have been told off many times by these idiots on cruise boards that think the Caribbean is the best place to buy gemstones/jewelry. I''ve told them about Pricescope but they won''t listen. I just got back from the Caribbean in April and noticed that:

1 - their prices for loose diamonds are a lot higher than PS
2 - the quality of their diamond jewelry is dismal e.g. tennis bracelets made of K color I1-I2 stones
3 - their salespeople are stupid, one asked if I wanted to upgrade my diamond to a 1ct J-I1 (I guess she was blind)

OFF TOPIC. If anyone watching Dancing with the Stars? My new favorite show. THe gal from Heneral Hospital? Kelly Monaco? OMG. I would give up all diamonds forever to look like that with that body.

Just my 2 cents...Kelly Monaco has a hot bod, but she hardly ever smiles,which would add TONS to her appeal I think...I like that show,too...and I plan to watch it tonight. I suspect she and her partner may be going home...they have chemistry or at least on the last dance number they did, but she is a bit arrogant, I think. As for giving up my diamonds for her bod, I would if I could still eat what I want!

With diamonds you wear, you always have something that is totally hot, is definitely coveted by others who see the sparkle and fire and it goes with EVERYTHING! That to me, is sexy!

I once intruded into a e-bay bid by suggesting that the person ask to have the diamond appraised by an independent appraiser.

Apparently, that just won''t do, and who am I to not trust an e-bay vendor with a "excellent" e-bay reputation....


Concerning "Dancing." I saw it for the first time tonight. Yes she has a sexy body and knows how to use it - which pleases the crowed. However - her footwork and other aspects of her body language is rather sloppy to any trained observer. I.e. She could easily suduce me... but she technically cannot dance very well. I suspect that only her "seductive" nature has prevented her from being eliminated before this.

I was awed by the precission and showmanship of the white haired guy couple. From what I saw, he stumbled once - but otherwise was very good.

Some of the others were very good dancers as well.

My other comments: Finally, an "event" based show that I can appreciate. It takes skill and work to learnn to dance well - and shows off a positive side of the people.

I have found that trying to be helpful to people about diamonds, even in casual conversation, can result in a debate. I have all but given up having a diamond discussion with anyone outside of PS or my few friends who know what "ideal cut" really means. Either I start talking about cut and angles and get a blank stare or they say "well, my jewler is good guy, and he said it''s an ideal cut." Okay fine, dude, enjoy . . .

Ouch, If it is his diamond he was probably a little on the defensive because "she" didn''t want the ring or him. Then a very wise woman comes a long (although trying to be helpful) and tells him "You are spending too much on that diamond. let me tell you where you can find a better one cheaper." Dagger to the heart. If it wasn''t his ring, he probably would have welcomed your suggestion. He is probably just hating the world right now.
